I bought this deep fat fryer just over a year ago from Amazon.co.uk for about £50. It is a very good quality fryer with variable temperature control up to 190 degrees, and is an attractive brushed steel design. There is also an on-off button and a red indicator light which turns off when the required temperature has been reached. Kenwood DF520 I have found this fryer to be an efficient addition to my kitchen. It is rather bulky so advisable to have a cupboard to store it in, for, if you are like me, it will only be used on a few occassions. It cooks well with a good range of temperatures and has a reasonable sized basket for the food to be cooked. I have gone through a few deep fat fryers (mainly because instead of cleaning it I just get a new one!!!) Anyway at the moment I have this one and so far I am impressed with it, even without a timer. Seems easier to keep clean somehow than the white ones. BUT don't do what I did ........... Have the actifry for about a week and its fantastic first thing we tried was chips i used marris piper potatoes and they were crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle best chips I have had in a long time, Since then we have done pork chops, roast potatoes, vegtable still fry, home made garlic mushrooms ( a good dash of garlic powder mixed with the oil ), curried chips, sausages all off which have tasted great.
