Delonghi Deep Fat Fryer
Review of Delonghi F 24502 CZ by jad1965

Advantages: Oil drainer, easy to keep clean
Disadvantages: Check oil tap is closed!!

I have gone through a few deep fat fryers (mainly because instead of cleaning it I just get a new one!!!) Anyway at the moment I have this one and so far I am impressed with it, even without a timer. Seems easier to keep clean somehow than the white ones. BUT don't do what I did ........... I unpacked it, rinsed it out, put it together, filled with oil and left on kitchen top for later............................ when I walked into kitchen I saw ...
...tap was off, yes all the oil had come out, all over unit and floor. SO remember to check the tap is off. But at least I know it works, and when the oil needs changing I should now manage it without having to buy a new one!!! Also makes lovely chips! ... Read review

Fry-tfully good
Review of Tefal 3163 Profry 1000 by Quakerman

Advantages: Compact but with good capacity, easy to clean
Disadvantages: We shouldn't be eating fried foods should we??

...a new one. The TEFAL coolwall (also know as the Pro Fry) is what I came home with. This is a great appliance. For one thing, its rectangular shape fits neatly into corners, so it can be pushed out of the way on counters, or stored easily in cupboards. But the main advantage is that it is easy to clean. The whole thing comes apart into five pieces - the lid, the oil container, the heating element and thermostat, the basket and the outer shell. The ...
...the whole thing slots easily back together in seconds. It's easy to clean because each bit can be done separately, and everything except the heating element and thermostat can go in the dishwasher. The key is to do it regularly. Features include a removable basket and lid, a viewing window, an on/off light, non-slip feet, cord storage, metal odour filter. The oil capacity is four litres, and it can handle 800g of fresh chips and 600g of frozen. ... Read review

A good fryer guaranteed to make you fat!
Review of Morphy Richards 45470 by hollypopple

Advantages: Good quality, high capacity, variable temperature
Disadvantages: Oil evaporates onto the units above it

I bought this deep fat fryer just over a year ago from Amazon.co.uk for about £50. It is a very good quality fryer with variable temperature control up to 190 degrees, and is an attractive brushed steel design. There is also an on-off button and a red indicator light which turns off when the required temperature has been reached. The basket can hold about 1.2kg of food, which is slightly more than most domestic fryers. It is very effective and cooks ...
...packs away neatly as the handle folds cleverly inside without touching the oil, so that the removable lid can cover it. You have to wait for several hours after using it before it is cool enough to put the lid back on. The main bowl lifts out for easy cleaning and the basket is dishwasher safe. The remaining parts have to be washed in the sink. The only problem I have experienced with this fryer is that you cannot use the lid while it is in use, ... Read review

Review of Tefal FZ 7000 Actifry by Petebartlett

Advantages: Low fat content, No smell and very safe
Disadvantages: Things take a little longer

Have the actifry for about a week and its fantastic first thing we tried was chips i used marris piper potatoes and they were crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle best chips I have had in a long time, Since then we have done pork chops, roast potatoes, vegtable still fry, home made garlic mushrooms ( a good dash of garlic powder mixed with the oil ), curried chips, sausages all off which have tasted great. The machine itself is easy to ... Read review

Delonghi F603 Deep Fryer
Review of Delonghi F603 by adrian142

Advantages: Removable lid which is dishwasher safe
Disadvantages: Everything else

...experience. Having just purchased a Delonghi F603 deep fat fryer, believing Delonghi to be a reputable company, I am appalled by this fryer. In fact the item I have cannot really be called a fryer. It takes over 15 minutes to preheat, even then not reaching a frying temperature, merely slight bubbling, resulting in warm soggy greasy potato pieces, rather than chips. Despite turning the temperature control to maximum, and setting the timer to 30 ... Read review
