I bought this fryer because I loved the idea of been able to take it apart to clean it. After many years of struggling to keep a traditional deep fat fryer clean I couldn't wait to test drive this one. I wasn't disappointed, after removing the power section, the oil tray comes out and the basket, lid, oil tray and wall of fryer can be washed in soapy water. The only drawback is trying to keep the power supply part clean but the rest looks as good ...

There are a number of temperature settings with icons to show which foods (chips, fish, chicken, etc) require which temperature. Here I go again and hopefully this review will help people undestand the quality of this deep fat fryer. I bought this fryer six months ago and must say that I have never looked back, this fryer is made of stainless steel and holds a capacity of 2litres of oil, there is a temperature switch which you can have on if you want to leave it while preparing your food, or you can put it to the highest tempetature for quick frying. Kenwood DF520 I have found this fryer to be an efficient addition to my kitchen. It is rather bulky so advisable to have a cupboard to store it in, for, if you are like me, it will only be used on a few occassions. It cooks well with a good range of temperatures and has a reasonable sized basket for the food to be cooked.
