Anyone for chips :-)
Review of Cooks Kitchen Auction by
sminshulls
Advantages: Easy to clean.
Disadvantages: None, so far.
I bought this fryer because I loved the idea of been able to take it apart to clean it. After many years of struggling to keep a traditional deep fat fryer clean I couldn't wait to test drive this one.
I wasn't disappointed, after removing the power section, the oil tray comes out and the basket, lid, oil tray and wall of fryer can be washed in soapy water. The only drawback is trying to keep the power supply part clean but the rest looks as good ... ...supply part is not advisable, although wiping with a cloth removes any dust but not all the grease stains. As for operating the fryer, this is very easy. There are a number of temperature settings with icons to show which foods (chips, fish, chicken, etc) require which temperature. Thermostat control prevents fryer from getting too hot and is indictaed by a light. Light is red when oil is heating then turns green when oil is hot enough to use. There ...

Hot stylish fryer
Review of Cookworks DF2102 by
marcellep
Advantages: Size, Style, Cost, Looks, Design,
Disadvantages: Nil
...not heard that much about cookworks in the past to be totally honest this was the first time I had ever bought an item from them. What you get:
Instructions~ which are pretty useless to be honest as they have a few pictures showing you how to put the fryer together and how to fill it. I guess what more can they tell about the fryer
Guarantee card~ I never completed this as Argos gave me a 1 yrs guarantee as will most retailers.
The fryer~ which ... ...enamel black bowl for the inside of the fryer, 1 control panel which has the thermostat attached to it and the a square stainless steel outer that makes the fryer complete.
Power cable~ is attached to the rear of the fryer and when not in use you can put in the rear of the fryer. The length of the cord is 15 inches approx
What it offers:
2.2kw~ this is the part that heats up the oil
3litre Capacity~ the amount of oil that the fryer can hold
...

A safe fryer
Review of Hinari DFF140 by
blannad
Advantages: Compact
Disadvantages: nothing
Here I go again and hopefully this review will help people undestand the quality of this deep fat fryer. I bought this fryer six months ago and must say that I have never looked back, this fryer is made of stainless steel and holds a capacity of 2litres of oil, there is a temperature switch which you can have on if you want to leave it while preparing your food, or you can put it to the highest tempetature for quick frying. Another aspect of this ... ...the oil and cleaning and not worring about the electrics. The lid itself is also removable, and it does not cause as much steam as your regular fryer, which I find does not steam your kitchen up and it does not create a smell of oil. It takes very little time to heat up and the food is crisp what you would expect from a good deep fryer. When wanting to store your fryer ,situated at the back is a small area for the lead to be fed into for convience. ...

==Kenwood DF520==
Review of Kenwood DF520 by
travellinggardener
Advantages: Good to cook with. Easy to clean.
Disadvantages: Rather large to store.
Kenwood DF520
I have found this fryer to be an efficient addition to my kitchen. It is rather bulky so advisable to have a cupboard to store it in, for, if you are like me, it will only be used on a few occassions. It cooks well with a good range of temperatures and has a reasonable sized basket for the food to be cooked. It is rather spoilt by the viewing window becoming hard to see through once cooking has commenced as it appears to steam ...

A healthy chip buttie?
Review of Tefal FZ 7000 Actifry by
sandra102
Advantages: lovely healthy crispy chips
Disadvantages: expensive
The Hype
Imagine being able to fry a batch of real home-made chips with just a tablespoon of olive oil. Sounds too good to be true?
Place up to a kilo of freshly cut chips into the cooking pan, then measure your preferred oil with the scoop provided, pour it over, and set the timer. Patented technology circulates hot air around your fries, whilst the mixing paddle evenly disperses the oil. The result is chips that are crispy on the outside, soft ... ...more good news to come: The Actifry can also be used for cooking frozen chips, scampi, chicken drumsticks, stir-fried vegetables and lots more besides - recipe book included
An odourless filter keeps your kitchen fresh, and you can check on progress through the viewing window
Everything except the base can go into the dishwasher, and of course there's no oil to filter after frying.
The truth
I have seen this demonstrated on shopping channels ...
