Well the Dell Dimension 2400 I could say is pretty good for business purposes. Dell does let you customize it but its more of a business system. Its not really all that fast, it has two ram slots no agp slot. Which means no video card, which means no high quality good games. How ever I recommend this system for typing, at home jobs, and for searching purposes. Pretty good size monitor but thats about it. Works with windows xp and lower O.S. Read review

Dell is one of the leading computer manufacturers but still they don't make their computers for the advanced users. The Dell Dimension has a 2.4Ghz Pentium 4 processor (without HT technology!), a pathetic 40Gb hard drive, and a pathetic 256Mb stick of RAM. I got my Dell Dimension 2400 for a Christmas present about 3 years ago and I will be honest with you I was very pleased with it at the time but as time went on and I got a lot more experienced and older I wanted more. Advantages: good value, basic pc for home and basic office use
Disadvantages: low memory and could find it hard to cope with newer software

I use this machine at work and it is a good work horse machine, although it is a little dated now it is still able to keep up with the latest software and add ons. However it is connected to a main server, so this machine would be ideal for small business use. Definately check it out but you may want to consider spending a little more for more memory and other enlargements. I have found that it is ok to burn CD's, present power point presentations ...
...other cool stuff. However I would suggest that this be used with a broad band connection as this helps speed things up.
