...word I can use for HP is trust. I never have serious issues with HP servers or workstations. This workstation is very solid looking, if a bit bland. It has a good quality feel and seems bullet-proof! It has an incredibly powerful processor and a decent amount of Ram, which is what makes all the difference when doing work. I have found that it tends to crash and slow down at the most ridiculous times, and it gets incredibly irritating. Rather than staying away from it altogether though, just wait for the next service pack. this machine is a reliable and fast, in the year i have had it it has only crashed a few times, and that was mainly because i tried to run far too many programs at once. however, while some people may like the plain black design, i find it rather bland and lifeless, also the lack of DVD writer drive limits the usefulness of the tower, and the UBS ports are hard to access. Well the Dell Dimension 2400 I could say is pretty good for business purposes. Dell does let you customize it but its more of a business system. Its not really all that fast, it has two ram slots no agp slot. Which means no video card, which means no high quality good games. How ever I recommend this system for typing, at home jobs, and for searching purposes. Pretty good size monitor but thats about it. Works with windows xp and lower O.S. Read review
