...recently. This is where the Dell shows it's downside. As simple as it is, it provides very little workability for advanced users. After looking into the problem and attempting many fixes, I had no luck solving the problem - I could still watch no videos. The only solution would be to reinstall the operating system - something that is tricky on this computer, as no install disk is provided! I eventually resorted to acquiring my own install disk, ...
...the lack of expansion options. There are no true graphics slots (AGP or PCI-E), so the best dedicated graphics card I could fit was the nVidia 6200 PCI. Disadvantages: low storage, poor graphics card, lack of upgrades

A bought this computer around two years ago and it has its pros, and its cons. The I updated my computer so it could have 2Gb of ram, so it runs nice and fast. I bought it at a low price so the value was pretty decent. One problem with it was the lack of upgrades that could be done, which brought other problems. Some that I ran into with it are, a very low disc space (33Gb) so I had to buy myself an external hard drive. The graphics card could not ...

Advantages: Monitor, Business, Keyboard, Look.
Disadvantages: Slow, Heavy, Space taker.

Well the Dell Dimension 2400 I could say is pretty good for business purposes. Dell does let you customize it but its more of a business system. Its not really all that fast, it has two ram slots no agp slot. Which means no video card, which means no high quality good games. How ever I recommend this system for typing, at home jobs, and for searching purposes. Pretty good size monitor but thats about it. Works with windows xp and lower O.S. Read review
