the whole package

Advantages: how cheap it was
Disadvantages: s.l.o.w!!
Ok, I exaggerated when I put the title as the whole package. To start off with, I brought this computer because it was on offer. I thought wow how can a computer be so cheap. I was drawn in. I wish I hadn't been now. The only thing I love about it is the stylish little screen that I got with it. So where do I start on my moaning?
Well as soon you I turned my computer on I thought great it's all set up and ready. I put on the relevant programs that ... ...computer off. It was a great feeling. I spent so little on what I thought was a great computer and I had set everything up.
Next time I came to use the computer; it just didn't want to know. It was so slow I made myself a sandwich and it still hadn't fully loaded. It finally worked. I was relieved. But oh no the computer sensed my relief and decided that all the programs I was using should freeze. I closed it down, and half an hour later it finally ...

Buying a complete computer package
Review of HP Pavilion XL 773 by
myopinion
Advantages: Great Value on a complete computer system
Disadvantages: Celeron processor and no printer with system
When I was looking for an upgrade for my Pentium (100 mhz) computer. I definitely wanted more speed and better performance from my computer. But I didn't want to spend over $1000 USD on the system. After looking at ads on television and looking in many electronics stores I found what I was looking for at my local Walmart store. I read the box and found that this 'new' system looked very good. I asked several questions of the electronics person and ... ...Which was better then expected I was thrilled.
When I got it home and turned in on the updating of the system was incredible. I heard some bad things about 'Celeron' processors. But once I got on the internet the speed was amazing. I had also read the mhz was 700 and that added to the speed. The minus side to being a package is that they don't come with printers or too many extras. This system had a 17" color printer w/speakers, keyboard, and CD/DVD ...

eTower Celeron 700
Review of Emachines eTower 700 by
Bill-S
Advantages: Small mini ATX, upgrades to 933Mhz
Disadvantages: No AGP slot/ two USB 1.0 only/ memory limit
...hasten to add the largely faulted power supply with emachines directly, they use OEM brands for these.
Because you buy it pre-assembled, you are entitled to refunds and servicing of course. Speed issues result from space within the drive, and memory limit issues. 256MB is good for Win9x computers. ...

Cost Conscious Surfer
Review of Elonex Webrider by
flooda
Advantages: Price. Speed. Warranty
Disadvantages: Lack of bundled software
...and everyday programmes, as well as having the DVD playback feature.
About the only drawback is the lack of software, other than the graphic card’s video-capture and DVD playback utilities.
The whole package is exceptional value for money, and Elonex also throw in a one year on-site warranty. ...

EMACHINE ETOWER 600 DVD
Review of Emachines eTower 600 by
CLH
Advantages: PRICE,WINDOWS ME, EASY TO SET UP,USB AND GAME PORT CAN BE PLUGGED IN FROM THE FRONT.
Disadvantages: NO RESET BUTTON.
...an ETOWER 600 DVD from EMACHINES from PC World (without the monitor) with an Intel Celeron processor, 64mb ram, 15gb hard drive, 12x dvd, 3d graphics and 56k modem.
The salesman said that I would notice a hell of a difference with my new computer compared with my old 486 and indeed he was right! I have read indifferent reports about this computer in the magazines but I am pleased as Punch with mine. The computer looks good, has good clear instructions, ... ...first plugged in except that one of its tiny speakers was not working. Luckily I had some other larger speakers to plug in so that problem was soon "sorted." I have not found it necessary to phone manufacturers support.
One of the many nice things about my machine is that it came with Windows Millennium Edition which impressed me. For instance it was great to be able to watch American news TV stations, BBC News 24 TV, Bloomberg TV, and listen to ...
