A good buy
Review of Canon PowerShot A700 by laminacourt

Advantages: High pixel count, many great features, easy to use, good zoom quality
Disadvantages: Slow load for flash, sometimes slow start up

...things I like about the Canon PowerShot A700, and only a few things so far that I dislike. Good: It is very easy to use. The buttons are labelled nicely and are in the places that most people are used to, so passing off your camera to someone isn't a huge hassle. There is a great selection of ways to modify pictures, such as colours, settings, etc. I've not used them all yet (ex. snow, beach, fireworks, night, kids/pets, indoor, foliage, colour ...
...you choose), colour swap), but the ones I have used have been good. I find the final picture quality to be very good. There are blurry pictures from time to time, but it's more technique related, not the camera. Bad: After taking pictures with the flash, it can take a long time to get it ready for another. It is not good when you need many pictures with the flash for a short time and you can only take a couple (not using the sequential photography ... Read review

Good cheap camera
Review of Fujifilm FinePix 2800 Zoom by jackmcintyre

Advantages: cheap, easy to use, good build quality
Disadvantages: battery system isn't as good as it could be

...such a low price tag. Fujifilm build quality is great and i've never had any faults with this camera. The only downside to fuji camera's is that they use standard batteries, rather than a dedicated rechargeable battery. The pictures transfer onto the computer very easily and its very simple to use. Just plug it in and windows will automatically know what it is, and know what to do with it. Takes a matter of minutes to put a full card's worth of pictures ... Read review

4900zoom by fujifilm finepix smart media
Review of Fujifilm FinePix 4900 Zoom by galaxy2.3i

Advantages: GR8 quality pics at home, not in a studio
Disadvantages: Battery life is far to short

The fujifilm 4900 zoom camera uses a smart media card and takes fantastic quality photos. The camera has many photo quality option to choose from and loads of different setting. I have had my camera for three years now and i am still learning new things about it. Every now and then i have a look through the instruction manual to refresh my memory and i always learn something new. [or i seem to anyway] The camera its self is very chunky and rather ...
...strap which i find really usefull. You can buy extra lens to increase the performance of the shoots but i have not felt a need to buy one as the camera is excellent without them. Also extra flashes can be added if desired, but yet again i have not felt the need for one, because the built in flash is great One of the BIGGEST draw backs to this camera is that the battery life is very very short, and i tend to use it plugged into the mains. If i ... Read review

Panasonic Lumix DMC FS3-Simple and quality
Review of Panasonic Lumix DMC FS3 by Foxy1212

Advantages: value, zoom, features
Disadvantages: probably not to good for advanced photography

...and he reccomended me this panasonic lumix camera. I have been more than happy with his reccomendation ever since, having found the camera very easy to use, but also capable of taking very high quality photographs. I would reccomend this above Samsung and Fuji cameras I have had in the past. The zoom is excellent, very defined, and the camera offers a burst feature, which allows you to take a series of photos, excellent for a moving object, and ...
...than £80 equivalent I am very pleased to have chosen this camera, as for someone who wants photos of travels and everyday life, it has more than i need, but is not at all confusing. It also comes in a range of colours so you can customise it as you wish, and once bought you will be snapping away without having to carry the manual with you for when you get confused. ...
