Canon Digital EOS 30D
Review of Canon EOS 30D by staceylema

Advantages: Great quality for the price and user friendly buttons
Disadvantages: 8 megapixels (if you value that)

I've been a traditional film photographer for years and the EOS 30D was the first digital slr we purchased a few months ago. My husband and I are so happy with this camera and love that we can take it on vacation for candids, then turn around and utilize it more professionally for portraits. There is such a range of creative options that allows this camera to be very functional for a variety of situations from backyard bbq's to more professional ...
...with this buy and definitely recommend this for people who desire a camera that can be functional in casual situations and for families as well as professionally.... The one down side for many is the 8 megapixels but I haven't had any problems with clarity for prints I have printed because the largest I print is 16x20 and they turn out beautiful! ... Read review

Great semi pro, or pro backup.
Review of Canon EOS 20D by stuf1982

Advantages: Light weight yet robust
Disadvantages: Small sensor limit's full 35mm lenses, slightly red cast.

I am a professional photographer and use a 20D as one of my backups. This is an excellent semi pro camera that is user friendly enough for any beginner. With image quality suitable for printing up to A2 from a RAW file. I would strongly recommend shooting in RAW wherever possible as the JPEG compression can be very limiting for post shoot editing and any image correction you may need to apply. To get the most out of the camera I would recommend ... Read review

Minolta DiMAGE Xt
Review of Minolta DiMAGE Xt by astoupp

Advantages: Daylight photos and battery
Disadvantages: Night photos

This machine will be your best friend. Especially if you don't have a mobile that take photos. You can carry with you easy cause to the small size. Perfect image colours for the daylight photos but not the same for the night especially if you try to take photo people further than 2 meters due to the week flash. The battery last longer than other cameras cause the optical zoom is internal (Minolta pattern) and the LCD screen at the back is small(less ...
...that last with less money is a good selection. Definitely there are better cameras with better night photos. But is difficult to find any camera to take photos at night. Tip for nights photos don't use the flash. Press the button for photo and wait . Try this to take photo a town from above at night. It needs 30 second to take a photo like that but the result is perfect. Have fun. ... Read review

Definately recommended
Review of Samsung Digimax S700 by SoppySista

Advantages: Easy to use
Disadvantages: Too many features to explore

...buying iot to replace another Samsung one that broke after dropping it a few too many times. This one seems to be slightly sturdier, and unlike many camera now, it is not too thin and delicate that you think that you will break it. The screen is quite big, so you can see the pictures quite clearly before loading them onto the computer, and also you havw the facility to crop your photos when looking at them on the screen. There are many features on ...
...a normal photo is easy to do, with good qualtiy photos, and a very good zoom. The video feature on the cmaera works very well, and unlike other cameras that I have used before, there is a good sound quality that comes with them. Only thing I would say is that they do take up a lot of space on your memory card.I would recommend buying this camera, especially for somebody that wants good quality photos for a reasonable price, and without too much hassle. ... Olympus FE-310
Review of Olympus FE-310 by little_un1988

Advantages: good quality photos,
Disadvantages: Not too great for detailed zoomed in photography

...easy to use computer software. Olympus also offer excellent customer service as I dropped mine onto a concrete floor and they quickly repaired it (paying for all posting and packaging) and got it back to me with a couple of weeks. The camera is easy to use and switch between modes and has many different setting for different environments. Good quality flash and the zoom can be used from relatively long diatnces away from the subject. Its also allows ... Read review
