Dimage Z1is easy
Review of Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z1 by devondumpling50

Advantages: It's not rocket science.
Disadvantages: noise on start up

I have one of these myself. Once you have found your way around the menus etc it is easy.I purchased mine 2 months before going to Alaska for my hols. What a pleasure it is, the only thing that caught me out was finding the flash! I knew it was there I was looking for a button but no you just lift it (simple or what?)I must have had my thick head on. The picture quality is amazing, the zoom is wonderful the transition from SLR to the Dimage is good ...
...can still have total control. So impressed was my travelling companion, that on our return to the UK she also purchased the Z1. She no longer has the tops of heads or feet cut off etc. The only thing that annoys me is the little tune it plays on starting up and closing down not much use when wild life are the object of your interest. Small price as you can leave it on stand-by . Hope you have not been too bored ... Read review

Very good Intermediate Camera for bargain price
Review of Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z2 by wailor

Advantages: Sharp images, full manual controls, excellent value for money
Disadvantages: Bulky, cannot be used as webcam, need tripod when using full zoom

I bought a refurbished unit from Jessops for just over £100. Have had absolutely no problems with it and it takes sharp shots. You can use automatic settings or use any of the preset settings to take shots and even use the fully manual settings to get the right shot. It not being an slr in the full sense of the word, it sure is close to one. It may take a bit of time to get used to it afterall, there are so many settings which they've tried to tuck ...
...need a tripod when taking shots using the full zoom as it is difficult to get a sharp shot at such level of zoom power. 10x zoom is no joke. It's really powerful. The Flash is excellent and has a rather good range and takes some really nice shots at night with a tweak of the settings. It also has a wide angle, bracketting and multishot settings. You can also chose between 4 picture sizes and enable the digital zoom as well (which I hardly ever need). ... Read review

Looking for more than a silver box of tricks?
Review of Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z3 by elmopants

Advantages: Great lens, light, fast, grip and features.
Disadvantages: Build quality, lack of support...

I bought this camera because I was looking for a mid range point and shoot that was fast enough to capture my interest in motorsport and offer me the options of a more advanced camera for other situtations. Overall I have to say that for what I wanted this camera has given me what I need but it hasn't been without its problems. The good bits first, I like motorsport and this camera has a very quick start up and some good sport shooting modes which ...
...the picture quality is good but suffers the usual grainy look when shooting in the dark although the flash is pretty effective in an average room, I would guess up to 6 metres. The lens is great with a quick zoom and image stablisers that work pretty well at all but the longest zoom. I particularly like the SLR type grip and all the necessary buttons are within easy reach. The screen is pretty good but use of the digital view finder leaves much to ... Read review

Wonderful to use
Review of Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z5 by miajoyuk

Advantages: Ease of use
Disadvantages: Flimsy battery cover

I will start with the only downfall I have found on this camera, it's battery cover is a little flimsy and is already broken on mine. Apart from that, I recommend this camera on all counts. The picture quality is amazing, its usability is simple and it has the look of a professional piece of equipment. I once took a picture of a helicopter, which was quite far away, scooping water out of the sea in Greece and dropping it on a bush fire. The image ... Read review

Snap happy
Review of Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z6 by tazorii

Advantages: Great all round camera
Disadvantages: No manual on CD in PDF format (like Z5)

I purchased this digital camera four months ago after having used my Nikon Coolpix CP2100 for about a year. I wanted a better performing camera with a greater zoom and more pixels. With the choice of cameras on the market, this camera is at an intermediate level. Offers Anti-shake, 6.0 mega pixel resolution and manual aperture & shutter speed settings. It comes in two colours silver or black with a high quality plastic finish with brushed aluminium ...
...to use on screen display with many features including the choice of photo size, colour and imprint if required. The camera has a pop up flash so no need to turn it on or off via the on screen display menus. An additional flash unit can be fitted if required. Large 2 inch LCD screen with a very high quality display which allows you to check your picture directly after the shot without you taking your finger off the button. The Z6 has a 35-420 mm ...
