Looking for more than a silver box of tricks?
Review of Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z3 by elmopants

Advantages: Great lens, light, fast, grip and features.
Disadvantages: Build quality, lack of support...

I bought this camera because I was looking for a mid range point and shoot that was fast enough to capture my interest in motorsport and offer me the options of a more advanced camera for other situtations. Overall I have to say that for what I wanted this camera has given me what I need but it hasn't been without its problems. The good bits first, I like motorsport and this camera has a very quick start up and some good sport shooting modes which ...
...the picture quality is good but suffers the usual grainy look when shooting in the dark although the flash is pretty effective in an average room, I would guess up to 6 metres. The lens is great with a quick zoom and image stablisers that work pretty well at all but the longest zoom. I particularly like the SLR type grip and all the necessary buttons are within easy reach. The screen is pretty good but use of the digital view finder leaves much to ... Read review

One gooooood camera
Review of Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z20 by milc03

Advantages: Good pictures, quite easy to use, good zoom
Disadvantages: lens cover isn't good, big and bulky, labels are confusing

I got this camera a few years ago and since then it has been nothing but good. First of all it takes good photos, but it is also quite easy to use but some of the labels on it are quite confusing. Another bad thing is that the lens cover isn't very well designed and breaks quite easily and didn't really stay on much to start with. However it is easy to view and the pictures and also zoom in and it has quite a good zoom. Aswell as this it boots up ... Read review

Konica Minolta A200
Review of Konica Minolta DiMAGE A200 by psilk

Advantages: Excellent picture quality, range of functions, lens quality, anti shake function
Disadvantages: Viewfinder not the best, low light autofocus

Although Konica Minolta have now ceased making cameras, there are still a few of these around (and warranty/service has been handed over to Sony). The A200 is the last of KM bridge mount digital cameras in the pro-sumer market. It has a 8m pixel CCD and 28 to 200 (35mm equivalent) manual zoom lens - much better than a motor driven lens which tend to have noticeable "stops". Although fairly big (not quite as big as a D-SLR) and quite heavy, the range ...
...a number of programme modes in between means that you get pretty much all the benefits of a D-SLR in a smaller, more convenient package. It's no pocket camera however. A number of items standout:- the excellent quality lens (which has very little barrel distortion or vignetting) and which can take both wide-angle and telephoto adaptors the multi angle display which makes self portraits (with remote) or taking pictures from unusual angles (like above ... Very good Intermediate Camera for bargain price
Review of Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z2 by wailor

Advantages: Sharp images, full manual controls, excellent value for money
Disadvantages: Bulky, cannot be used as webcam, need tripod when using full zoom

I bought a refurbished unit from Jessops for just over £100. Have had absolutely no problems with it and it takes sharp shots. You can use automatic settings or use any of the preset settings to take shots and even use the fully manual settings to get the right shot. It not being an slr in the full sense of the word, it sure is close to one. It may take a bit of time to get used to it afterall, there are so many settings which they've tried to tuck ...
...need a tripod when taking shots using the full zoom as it is difficult to get a sharp shot at such level of zoom power. 10x zoom is no joke. It's really powerful. The Flash is excellent and has a rather good range and takes some really nice shots at night with a tweak of the settings. It also has a wide angle, bracketting and multishot settings. You can also chose between 4 picture sizes and enable the digital zoom as well (which I hardly ever need). ... Read review

Minolta DiMAGE Xt
Review of Minolta DiMAGE Xt by astoupp

Advantages: Daylight photos and battery
Disadvantages: Night photos

This machine will be your best friend. Especially if you don't have a mobile that take photos. You can carry with you easy cause to the small size. Perfect image colours for the daylight photos but not the same for the night especially if you try to take photo people further than 2 meters due to the week flash. The battery last longer than other cameras cause the optical zoom is internal (Minolta pattern) and the LCD screen at the back is small(less ...
...that last with less money is a good selection. Definitely there are better cameras with better night photos. But is difficult to find any camera to take photos at night. Tip for nights photos don't use the flash. Press the button for photo and wait . Try this to take photo a town from above at night. It needs 30 second to take a photo like that but the result is perfect. Have fun. ... Read review
