Very useful, easy-to-use camera
Review of Vivitar ViviCam 6320 by weirdchris

Advantages: excellent picture quality
Disadvantages: teething problems, occasional confusion

When I first bought this camera, I had a lot of trouble with the light in the pictures I took. Once I had altered the shutter speed, I found that the pictures came out fine. The in-built memory is very useful, but I recommend buying at least a 1GB SD memory card. The reason for this is that, at maximum quality the pictures the camera takes are very large, and can fill the memory very quickly. The cable used for tranferring pictures from the camera ...
...and was very fast in transferring even a very large amount of pictures. The slight lack of explanation in the user manual is the only thing that bothered me, and the rest of the package is more than satisfactory. I recommend this camera (which is now very reasonably priced) to anyone who wants to either take up photography with a reasonable model, or as a powerful yet cheap upgrade from a basic budget camera. ... My Vivitar vivicam 6300
Review of Vivitar ViviCam 6300 by Cassybobo

Advantages: Stylish compact Packed with features, easy to use, excellent results.
Disadvantages: I bought rechargable batteries but they don't seem to last very long in the camera.

I bought this camera because it is,stylish, small enough to fit in my handbag and packed with features. This is the first digital camera i have ever owned. I opened the box inside was the camera, instruction book, usb cable, jack plugs to connect to dvd player, and a leather wallet with carry strap. The instructions were very clear step by step, from getting started to tips for more professional photography. There are lots of options on setting your ...
...auto picture taking, or set your own preferences. You can even take video footage with this. Not being very knowledgeable on using all the functions, I found the instructions very easy to understand. I found the versatility excellent. The 2" screen is excellent to view and adjust your pictures. Another useful feature is the ability to adjust from 6 mega pixels to 4 or 2 enabling more photo's to be stored. The facility to view and adjust the picture ... Read review

Fab little camera.
Review of Vivitar ViviCam 5388 by elttiks

Advantages: None found
Disadvantages: None found

...while, and had decided that Vivitar was going to be the brand for me. I found this one on Bid Tv at a bargain price of £45. It is absolutly brilliant. It dors every thing I wanted it to do, as is very easy to use. It's not a point and shoot, but is easy to learn to use. It has a digital and optical zoom, the digital zoom can be disabled. I have done so as digital zooms tend to spoil the pictures. Lovely 2.4 inch TFT screen, which can be turned ...
...quality and is not spoilt by sun light. No view finder, but I haven't as yet had any problems. Battery life is good. I have taken over 100 pics this weekend on just the two AA batteries needed. A 1GB card which I bought from eBay costs about £6 and will hold hundreds of pics. This camera will also take black and white pictures. Brilliant little buy! ... Read review

Vivitar camera..a dark horse in the making!
Review of Vivitar ViviCam 5385 by Mr.SB

Advantages: Cheap, simple to use, still good quality
Disadvantages: Lack of design

...however, i have experience with vivitar cameras before and i knew that they were good for their money. So i decided to buy a 5 megapixel camera and didnt expect too much from them. However, these expectations were soon quashed as i was amazed at how good the camera actually was for the price. I paid £45 including P+P and from this price, the picture quality was fantastic, zoom was very good, ease of use was simple and user friendly, using the software ... Read review

Minolta DiMAGE Xt
Review of Minolta DiMAGE Xt by astoupp

Advantages: Daylight photos and battery
Disadvantages: Night photos

This machine will be your best friend. Especially if you don't have a mobile that take photos. You can carry with you easy cause to the small size. Perfect image colours for the daylight photos but not the same for the night especially if you try to take photo people further than 2 meters due to the week flash. The battery last longer than other cameras cause the optical zoom is internal (Minolta pattern) and the LCD screen at the back is small(less ...
...that last with less money is a good selection. Definitely there are better cameras with better night photos. But is difficult to find any camera to take photos at night. Tip for nights photos don't use the flash. Press the button for photo and wait . Try this to take photo a town from above at night. It needs 30 second to take a photo like that but the result is perfect. Have fun. ... Read review
