HP PhotoSmart M627
Review of HP PhotoSmart M627 by Blondie1005

Advantages: Small, Easy to use, Good Range of features
Disadvantages: Picture Quality poor & no case with purchase

I had this camera now for about a year. Paid just over £100 for it. I absolutely love it apart from the picture quality. It's not the best I've seen. Especially when you want to take detailed pictures. I've been cataloguing bits & bobs for eBay and some of the items are small and very detailed. When trying to get a photo good enough to put up on eBay, it's virtually impossible. However if you are wanting to take "normal" photos i.e. holiday snaps ...
...simple & user friendly. If you are using standard AA batteries (not Lithium) you normally get a weeks worth of use from. My suggestion would to use rechargeable for those all important holiday snaps. One other draw back is that it doesn't come with a carry case. But with the size of it you can normally get a carry case for about £10. Overall opinion it's a good camera but just be aware the picture quality isn't the best available for the money you ... A Brilliant Brilliant Camera!
Review of HP PhotoSmart M637 by andycharger

Advantages: Zoom and functionality, image quality, looks, option range.
Disadvantages: Screen not the biggest, cheaper cameras offering similar options in the market

...Im well versed in the HP range of products here at work with the servers, laptops, workstations, etc but was not sure about their camera range. After all, they are known for PCs and Printers Right? Leave the cameras to the photographic hotbeds of Kodak and Polaroid....Wrong. The HP camera range is superb and rivals anything put out by the other brands. Lets look at my camera..... LOOKS AND STYLING Very sleek. With its rounded left hand upper corner ...
...in the HP range have all adopted this as standard. It feels good in the hand and very steady. It is finished in the popular brushed aluminium that many of today's popular cameras are seen in. The Flashlight Design looks very retro with its old fashioned looking bulb effect. The front of the camera where your right hand holds it has a great little "grip lip" so one hand operation is easier. This gives your shots better stability and gives you ease ... Read review

Point, Click, Result !
Review of HP PhotoSmart R742 by msdevilfish

Advantages: small, light, easy to use, fantastic battery life.
Disadvantages: Lens a little too close to the edge

I am in no way a professional photographer, indeed I am more a 'point, click and pray for the best' type photographer, but this camera has made my results much better than expected. I actually got this camera as a second choice after the one I wanted was out of stock but I'm very glad I did. The best way to explain how easy it is to use is to tell you that my three year old daughter can work it. It is small and light and takes both photographs and ...
...quality settings I can get around 18 pictures before the memory is full but it is easily expandable using a memory card. Another point I really like is the battery. Instead of carrying 8 spare AA batteries round with you at all times, there is just one battery which comes with its own charger...no battery costs ! I charged the battery at Christmas and it is still 3/4 full. A small flick of a switch and you can view photographs and videos already ... Read review

Good camera with lots of potenital
Review of Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S600 by adambenclegg

Advantages: Simple and takes high quality pictures.
Disadvantages: No macro mode

I got this camera as an inbetween camera when mine died. I decided to keep it and it was an excellent decision. The camera has wide range of standard functions and different modes. Some of this are quite complicated but 'Auto' works excellent none the less. The camera is pretty functional and pretty easy to figure out. Another advantage of this camera is that it uses AA batteries, rather than a camera specific battery. One drawback however is that ... Read review

Nikon D80
Review of Nikon D80 by wikirapid

Advantages: Best Feature in Great Price
Disadvantages: None

...of fantastic picture quality. The Nikon D80 is an enthusiast's dream and is incredibly rewarding to use. I had always a dream of buying Nikon D200 but with the release of D80 in much more economical price and the features somehow same to the D200, I was impressed. It has a new and improved 10.2-megapixel image sensor. It is an interesting mix of point-and-shoot and serious camera, Nikon's D80 has been touted as a 'little sister' to the D200 model ...
