wildtinsey
Advantages: You can use both memory stick and floppy discs
Disadvantages: Its an old camera now
...Overall i would recommend it especially for those of you looking to purchase a camera for ebay use. It is no longer manufactured so searches on ebay are your best bet. The memory sticks are still produced both by sony and several other manufacturers such as sandisc and lexar. ...

From a Nikon Coolpix 990 to this
Review of Sony Mavica MVC FD90 by
ssspikey
Advantages: easy to use, long battery life, handy, take anywhere
Disadvantages: can't think of any
First let me say, I have read that a number of people feel that the battery life is too short! Not so. Fully charged, the battery will last for over two hours and takes very little time to recharge. Buy a spare battery and your laughing. Floppy disks are also very inexpensive now. You can buy a box of 10 for $5 or less. I can take up to 32 ~ 640 x 480 pics per disk. Less pics the larger the file but the smaller size are great for web pages and email. ... ...using the MVC FD90 more and more often and ignoring the Nikon! It's so handy with no bulky leads and cables to worry about. The Mavica is bulky but has a very comfortable grip and is not heavy. I couldn't be without it. What I have been doing is trying different editing software with the pictures. The Nikon View software is amazing to use with the Mavica. Photosuite is good too.
I love the Macro function on the Mavica as you can get up really close ...

A great camera in its day
Review of Ricoh Caplio R4 by
LJJames
Advantages: Small, light, great 7.1 optical zoom lens, lots of features to change settings, long battery life
Disadvantages: Bit old now, flash can be covered by a stray finger
At 6 megapixels, it's not a class leader any more but that's more than enough for day to day shooting. What impressed me the most when I bought this camera 3 years ago was the lens - an impressive 7.1 optical zoom. This is double what you get in most compact cameras which means you can get closer to the subject you are photographing. It is also quite small and light, perfect for carrying around in a pocket. The screen is big and clear and the functions ... ...can't use the zoom whilst filming.
The only real negative is that it is a bit old now and there are better cameras on the market but you can't go wrong with this one if the price is right. I still use this one as my main camera. I particularly liked the fact that it was black when so many other compact digitals are silver. ...

Olympus Camedia C-725 - User Comments
Review of Olympus CAMEDIA C 725 Ultra Zoom by
F3Liney
Advantages: Nice zoom lens, good picture quality, nice controls, looks pretty good
Disadvantages: Eats batteries! Not too suitable for action photography.
Back in early 2005 I was looking for a good digital camera with as much 'real' optical zoom as possible (rather than just digital zoom). I didn't have the funds for a DSLR so I went down the compact digital route. After a lot of web searches and price comparisons I chose the C725. Overall, I like the camera and it has served me fairly well over the past 3 years. Plus points:
It has a good feel in the hand and the weight isn't excessive. I think ... ...become second nature and once you have set up your custom settings, it doesn't need much altering. I have taken some lovely photos with this camera. The lens is pretty nice for its size. 8x optical zoom is still a notable feature to this day on a camera of this class. The super HQ is nice, fine pixel quality and correctly exposed shots don't tend to need any adobe photo-shop treatment. Minus points:
Boy, does it eat AA batteries!! (4 at a time)- ...

Olympus C-720 Ulta Zoom
Review of Olympus CAMEDIA C 720 Ultra Zoom by
k129048218
Advantages: Excellent Resolution
Disadvantages: Low Battery Life
Now one of the best cameras to buy on the used market. Excellent resolution allowing you to make poster size prints with no appreciable loss of quality. Memory cards are easily and cheaply available and greatly enhance the standard 16Mb SM card bundled with camera.
Battery life is pretty short but better with the more expensive camera batteries available. You can use rechargeable batteries and this is a definate plus point.
The main functions of ...
