Cheap but is it worth it?
Review of Acer CE-5330 by
IzzyS
Advantages: Small and lightweight, video capture time isnt limited, comes with useful accessories
Disadvantages: Only takes SD cards up to 512mb, battery indicator not reliable, problems with focus
I bought this at what I thought was a pretty unbeatable price online just a few months ago but soon after receiving it I wondered if I'd made the right decision.
Dont get me wrong its not all bad but I have had some problems getting photos, particularly those taken indoors or in low light conditions, to not appear at all fuzzy or otherwise out of focus. I haven't had this problem with other digital cameras so that doesn't impress me much and I didn't ... ...there again im no expert on photography but I would say if your a beginner, this may not be the best buy for you. Generally, landscape shots taken outside in good weather conditions do turn out well but there does appear to be an issue with the focus not being quite set right when taking photos of the house or other shots inside and I have tried to fix this but I haven't totally got to the bottom of it yet, so I haven't discovered any quick fix for ...

Fantastic digital camera
Review of Acer CR-5130 by
tigletty
Advantages: Lots of functions and high spec for the price
Disadvantages: none found
We bought this camera as a gift. Our budget was limited to £100 and this appeared to have the highest spec for the price. Camera arrived and we were very impressed. A whole host of modes to choose from including action mode and night mode. I was amazed at the quality of pictures taken even in a completely dark room. Very easy to use. The manual looked a little daunting but the size of it was simply due to the number of languages included. Great to ...

This is easily one of the best cameras out.
Review of Acer CR-8530 by
missymckay
Advantages: One of the highest resolution cameras on the market
Disadvantages: Heats up quickly during use and has a high battery consumption
...day, i came across the Acer CR-8530 whilst browsing the net. At first i had doubts about the brand 'Acer' because i had never heard of it before. However, this camera had an extremely high resolution of 8 mega-pixels and it costed less than £200!! At the time i was very desperate for a camera as i needed it for my best friend's wedding. As i was waiting for the delivery of my new camera, i decided to do some research on Acer. It appeared that they ... ...such as Sony, Samsung and Sharp. The next day, my camera arrived. I opened the packaging and saw the box of the camera. It was an attractive packaging which made the camera look expensive and professional. I opened the box and i was very surprised with i had just purchased. Firstly the camera was much smaller than i had thought it would be, as i held it, it felt compact and solid. Its design looked stylish and modern. I switched it on and was greeted ...

Good camera with lots of potenital
Review of Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S600 by
adambenclegg
Advantages: Simple and takes high quality pictures.
Disadvantages: No macro mode
I got this camera as an inbetween camera when mine died. I decided to keep it and it was an excellent decision. The camera has wide range of standard functions and different modes. Some of this are quite complicated but 'Auto' works excellent none the less. The camera is pretty functional and pretty easy to figure out. Another advantage of this camera is that it uses AA batteries, rather than a camera specific battery. One drawback however is that ...
