Say Cheese !
Review of Konica Minolta DiMAGE E500 by CarlG

Advantages: Small, Well Priced, Good Quality
Disadvantages: None

I've had a digital camera for quite a while now - a Fuji S300 (which I reviewed a little while ago) but my partner has wanted one for a while, one that is relatively small, light and easy to use. Last July I decided to take the plunge and get one for her birthday. After scouring the web and comparing endless specifications I decided to opt for the (Konika) Minolta Dimage E500 as it seemed to satisfy all of the criteria. It is a solidly built compact ...
...grams. For such a small camera it packs is quite feature packed - 5 million mega pixels and 3x optical zoom lens with 4x digital zoom on top of this. The camera was easy to set up, just pop in the 2 AA batteries supplied and the setup was complete (the camera has 12MB in built memory so no need to insert a memory card to at least try the camera). The camera is turned on by pressing a rather small and discrete button located on the top of the camera, ... Read review

Looking for more than a silver box of tricks?
Review of Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z3 by elmopants

Advantages: Great lens, light, fast, grip and features.
Disadvantages: Build quality, lack of support...

I bought this camera because I was looking for a mid range point and shoot that was fast enough to capture my interest in motorsport and offer me the options of a more advanced camera for other situtations. Overall I have to say that for what I wanted this camera has given me what I need but it hasn't been without its problems. The good bits first, I like motorsport and this camera has a very quick start up and some good sport shooting modes which ...
...the picture quality is good but suffers the usual grainy look when shooting in the dark although the flash is pretty effective in an average room, I would guess up to 6 metres. The lens is great with a quick zoom and image stablisers that work pretty well at all but the longest zoom. I particularly like the SLR type grip and all the necessary buttons are within easy reach. The screen is pretty good but use of the digital view finder leaves much to ... Read review

One gooooood camera
Review of Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z20 by milc03

Advantages: Good pictures, quite easy to use, good zoom
Disadvantages: lens cover isn't good, big and bulky, labels are confusing

I got this camera a few years ago and since then it has been nothing but good. First of all it takes good photos, but it is also quite easy to use but some of the labels on it are quite confusing. Another bad thing is that the lens cover isn't very well designed and breaks quite easily and didn't really stay on much to start with. However it is easy to view and the pictures and also zoom in and it has quite a good zoom. Aswell as this it boots up ... Read review

Very good Intermediate Camera for bargain price
Review of Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z2 by wailor

Advantages: Sharp images, full manual controls, excellent value for money
Disadvantages: Bulky, cannot be used as webcam, need tripod when using full zoom

I bought a refurbished unit from Jessops for just over £100. Have had absolutely no problems with it and it takes sharp shots. You can use automatic settings or use any of the preset settings to take shots and even use the fully manual settings to get the right shot. It not being an slr in the full sense of the word, it sure is close to one. It may take a bit of time to get used to it afterall, there are so many settings which they've tried to tuck ...
...need a tripod when taking shots using the full zoom as it is difficult to get a sharp shot at such level of zoom power. 10x zoom is no joke. It's really powerful. The Flash is excellent and has a rather good range and takes some really nice shots at night with a tweak of the settings. It also has a wide angle, bracketting and multishot settings. You can also chose between 4 picture sizes and enable the digital zoom as well (which I hardly ever need). ... Read review

Review of Minolta DiMAGE Z1 by dottymardon

Advantages: Great quality,Great Design, brilliant allover
Disadvantages: a little big

Well I bought this nifty camera about Eight months back and I am still experiancing the wow effect. The camera has the best battery life I have ever experianced. Normal batteries will last about three weeks while my rechargables last me at least a month-Thats great. The other evening I went and watched Maroon 5 play live.I was up in the seating area, with this wonderful zoom,I could see the piece of meat still in Adam Levines teeth. I got some amaizing ...
...clips are not 100 %, but then again this is not a video camera !!! People sitting behind me were so amaized that they gave me there e mail address and begged me to forward the pics onto them. After a day, anyone will know how to operate the camera, It looks great, sounds good, good quality, excellent battery life, What more would you want from a good affordable camera. The only disadvantage is that its a bit bulky, men who carry it around in a ... Read review
