A useful training aid for nervous/noisy dogs.

Advantages: Gives you control and calms dog down when you want it
Disadvantages: Expensive initially and expensive refills.

Disadvantages: Can be Abused - Dogs reduced to nervous wrecks, doesn't work long-term
