...It has an excellent buffer underrun technology with my other drive if i watch movies or do anything streeful for the cpu i would get buffer underrun, it has never had a fall due to this (it has never actually failed) and has stopped it from doing so about 3-4 times sometimes whilst burning a disc. A good CD/DVD burner. Reads and burns CD's and DVD's (-R, -RW or +R, +RW) with no problems. (with firmware version US09, - note: 0 is a zero) Plays DVD films with no problems. ...the drive vertically. Being Pioneer I imagine longevity is a given, at least here in my household they have an enviable reputation for reliability.
