Well let me "try" and explain what a Zip Drive is. This plugs unto your USB port and looks like an external floppy disk drive, the actual disks are roughly the same dimension as a normal floppy disk, but a little thicker. The disks are well built and would be hard to damage. They are similar to floppy disks in that they have a shield which slides back when in the drive, so the disk is fully encased. I originally bought this external floppy drive a few years ago after the standard for laptops was not to have an inbuilt floppy drive already in them however at the time floppy disks were still in use from time to time. ...the drive vertically. Being Pioneer I imagine longevity is a given, at least here in my household they have an enviable reputation for reliability. I have never managed to break anything I have bought from them in the past. It doesn't seem to matter what quality of disc you present it with either, it just accepts any old tat.
