Leap To Madagascar
Review of Leap Frog Leappad Book Madagascar by belfin

Advantages: Your child can learn so many things with this book.
Disadvantages: None really

...many electronic learning toys from Leap Frog. It is also available with a writing version nowadays but we have the original and it works by way of a book, a cartridge and an electronic pen that can be used to point to various things on each book. If you want to know more about the system itself, I have an old review lurking somewhere on the site about it. ***The Cartridge*** Before starting to use this book make sure the cartridge is pushed into ...
...book you are about to use. The cartridges are made of a pretty sturdy plastic casing with an opening at the side to be attached to the Leappad. This one has a picture of the Alex the Lion from Madagascar on the top of it as well as the written word so it's easier for a child that can't read yet to see which one is needed. ***The Book*** The book has a binder edge so that the pages can be turned easily and it sits well in the system, but this could ... My first Leappad.
Review of Leap Frog Leappad - Toy by sheptse

Advantages: Great educational toy, very easy to use, lots of choice for books
Disadvantages: None

...aspects of playing with their Leap Pad books with no adult assistance. There is quite a large variety of books you can buy for the leappad and each book comes with a cartridge that just slots into the side. The majority of books that are for the Leappad are educational, which is great because while your child thinks they are playing they are actually learning too. The books clip on to the Leappad with a ring binding mechanism, very easy for your ...
...are all set to go, just switch the Leappad on and then with the magnetic pen that is attached via a 30cm wire you need to tap GO on whatever page you are using, then you are set to play that page. The Leappad runs on 4 AA batteries and to be fair they last for ages before needing to be replaced. My children are now 3.5 and 4.5 years old and they still love them, we just keep buying new books every now and then. We have had our Leappads for a year ... Read review

A great learning toy! Highly recommended.
Review of Leap Frog Leap Pad Plus Writing by gunner_mel

Advantages: Combination of fun and education
Disadvantages: None found

I found the Leap Frog Leap Pad Plus Writing a very well thought trough learning toy. It has the right mixture of education and fun offering books with characters that are increasingly popular with children. But besides that Leap Frog are also aiming at science and history knowledge questions and are able to combine all this with reading and writing exercises. I have never found my hyperactive 5-year-old so mesmerized by a toy. She loved it and came ...
...just learned. After 15 months with the system, I had only have to change the batteries once and games are often available as cheap as £2.99 on special offer at some of the large highstreet retailers. Very good value for money and nice to see something useful and at the same time entertaining. ... Read review

L Max Leapster from Leapfrog
Review of Leap Frog Leapster L-Max by jaffasmith

Advantages: Learning tool that keep children occupied
Disadvantages: Takes 4 batteries

We brought the IMax for our eldest daughter when she was 4 ,She is now nearly 7. The L Max is a handhand games console designed for the younger child as a educational toy and is aimed at children 4 to 10yrs. The console and cartridges can be brought from most large stores / toy shops. You buy games cartridges but it does have some preprogrammed games already so you do not have to but extra cartridges. Helps children with spelling. numeracy tasks ...
...cant get it away from her little sister. Our youngest has been playing it since she was 2 1/2 shes now 3 & abit. She loves the painting programme. She can access it and get to the paint option by herself. Takes 4 AA batteries but they last a while. We did buy the adapter but youngest keeps tripping over the wire so we have had to go back to batteries. This goes every where with us shopping, holidays, car etc. You can always find deals on the cartridges ... Read review
