Activity tables have come a long way.........
Review of Leap Frog LeapStart Learning Table by Saturdaysgirl

Advantages: Keeps your child interested, price, adaptability, educational.
Disadvantages: Take care on wooden floors.

I purchsed this as a Christmas present for my little boy. I had seen some good reviews written on it and thought that it looked like a toy that would keep him busy! I purchased it online, but it is also available from high street stores. I paid £29.99, but have seen it cheaper since, so look around for deals. It needs 4 C batteries. It did come with batteries for demonstration purposes and they have only just needed replacing. They lasted 4 months. ...
...initial look of the toy. It was very bright and colourful and I also thought it looked more compact than in the pictures (which is a good thing, as toys can end up taking over your home!) I wrapped it up and the rest is history......it has been his favourite toy ever since! Dimensions of the toy are 14.7 x 39.4 x 61.5 cm. It weighs 3.9 kgs. The toy is an activity table which sits on blue removable legs. They are easy to remove and just click ... Read review

Leapfrog Bilingual Leapstart Learning Table
Review of Leap Frog Learn & Groove Musical Table by gunner_mel

Advantages: Encourages clear language, motor skills, variety of stimulation
Disadvantages: Takes up a little room.

I love this toy! I know it was meant to be for my 1-year-old daughter but I love pressing all those different buttons just as much as she does. :-D It plays 50 songs and melodies in English and French. The lights are very bright and appealing to babies. There is a lot of different activities for the little ones some of them aimed at developing motor skills. The babies can spin, slide, push, pull, open and close things. The open and close especially ...
...hide treats in or sometimes Mummy's house key! Great is too that the instruments on the table play their actual sound by pressing them in various ways. There is so many sounds going on that I am glad for the two-step-volume control although the songs really have not even started annoying me yet, not even when playing for 15 minutes. And the sound quality is superb not tinned like some toys. The table further teaches colours by saying "red", "yellow", ... Read review

Great learning toy
Review of Leap Frog Learning Drum by sweetgirl_k1

Advantages: Teaches ABC's and 123's
Disadvantages: Have not found anything I didn't like

My son has this leap frog learning drum and he loves it. I feel like it is helping him to learn his ABC's and 123's. It has volume control and you can also turn it off (some toys don't have this option and I wish they did). My son loves to hit it just to see the letters and numbers pop up on the top and he likes to hear the drum sound too. He loves the music and bounces around when he hears it. I think this is a great learning tool for children. ... Read review

Touch and learn!
Review of Leap Frog LittleTouch Leappad by kingfisher111

Advantages: highly interactive and vesatile
Disadvantages: additional books are quite expensive

The Little Touch LeapPad is made by the LeapFrog company who seem to specialise in computerised learning systems for little children to help them with their reading and numbers. The Little Touch LeapPad is recommended for children between the ages of six and thirtysix months before they move onto the next systems. When you get your system it comes as quite a sturdy plastic board with a cushion effect underneath which makes it more comfortable for ...
...also comes in either pink or blue, but it doesn't matter what colour you get as they both do the same thing. What it seems to be, speaking as a non-expert, is a plastic base which has sensors which are activated by putting a cartridge in the system. So how does the leapPad work? It arrives with a book and a cartridge. You have to place the book so that it fits into the central spine and place the cartridge in the designated space at the top. Once ... Read review
