Activity tables have come a long way.........
Review of Leap Frog LeapStart Learning Table by
Saturdaysgirl
Advantages: Keeps your child interested, price, adaptability, educational.
Disadvantages: Take care on wooden floors.
I purchsed this as a Christmas present for my little boy. I had seen some good reviews written on it and thought that it looked like a toy that would keep him busy!
I purchased it online, but it is also available from high street stores. I paid £29.99, but have seen it cheaper since, so look around for deals. It needs 4 C batteries. It did come with batteries for demonstration purposes and they have only just needed replacing. They lasted 4 months.
... ...initial look of the toy. It was very bright and colourful and I also thought it looked more compact than in the pictures (which is a good thing, as toys can end up taking over your home!)
I wrapped it up and the rest is history......it has been his favourite toy ever since!
Dimensions of the toy are 14.7 x 39.4 x 61.5 cm.
It weighs 3.9 kgs.
The toy is an activity table which sits on blue removable legs. They are easy to remove and just click ...

balls of fun
Review of Leap Frog Discovery Ball by
emma29777
Advantages: can be locked onto base or left to roll around, very durable
Disadvantages: letters a bit too close together
My children loved this ball when they were smaller not only did it say the letters of the alphabet but it also played music when put in music mode. It has 2 ways to play either on the base in which case as you spin it it sings the alphabet or says the individual letters when pushed, or plays music when spun. It can then be taken off of the base and it does exactly the same but this way you can roll it around the floor and chase it. The locking mechanism ... ...done by an adult although it is rather easy to do. This toy is very durable and can take alot of abuse from children and just for the parents it has a volume switch load or quiet yippee!!! My one critism of this is that the letters are very close together and quite often 2 or 3 letters get pushed at the same time not the best when you want to teach the alphabet, but very entertaining for the little darlings in your life. A great product highly recommended. ...

L Max Leapster from Leapfrog
Review of Leap Frog Leapster L-Max by
jaffasmith
Advantages: Learning tool that keep children occupied
Disadvantages: Takes 4 batteries
We brought the IMax for our eldest daughter when she was 4 ,She is now nearly 7. The L Max is a handhand games console designed for the younger child as a educational toy and is aimed at children 4 to 10yrs. The console and cartridges can be brought from most large stores / toy shops. You buy games cartridges but it does have some preprogrammed games already so you do not have to but extra cartridges. Helps children with spelling. numeracy tasks ... ...cant get it away from her little sister. Our youngest has been playing it since she was 2 1/2 shes now 3 & abit. She loves the painting programme. She can access it and get to the paint option by herself. Takes 4 AA batteries but they last a while. We did buy the adapter but youngest keeps tripping over the wire so we have had to go back to batteries. This goes every where with us shopping, holidays, car etc. You can always find deals on the cartridges ...

Advantages: great for protecting console and storing games
Disadvantages: not much room for games
if you have a leapster it is well worth investing in the case. it is lovely padded protects the leapster ours has been dropped down a full flight of stairs while in the case and came out completly unscaved!! to my suprise.
the only thing i would say as a negitive is that there is not much room for the games and they end up sqashed int the back. lovely case lightwieght easy to use the leapster or the l max fit in this case. the case comes in a deep ...
