The Mama of guitar multi effects!!!
Review of Zoom G9.2tt by monsieur.Joda

Advantages: fun to use, really nice sounds
Disadvantages: so many things... can be confusing sometimes...

...to upgrade it to a Zoom GFX-5. I kept the Zoom GFX5 for about 6 months, and then upgraded to the G9. I just fell in love with the unit. First, (I know it is lame) it looks really cool. Then I read many reviews about it on various websites, and the specs looked really good, and also it sounded like it was really easy to get a nice sound. With my years of struggle to get a sound I like, I felt really attracted to this unit. They also upgraded the ...
...supply (that is new for Zoom to do that) - Programs: You also get the program Cubase LE, but surprisingly no USB cable. - Manuals, and quick guide (with details of the amp simulations) THE SOUND ******************* Well. That is where it shines. This unit is HIGHLY tweakable. You can change almost everything. Every effect is tweakable to the extreme. So you can get the sound you are looking for with a bit of work. The amplifier simulations ... Read review

Great Sounds from the Zoom 505II
Review of Zoom 505 by 24Sarthe24

Advantages: Compact, cheap as chips, huge editability, great sound
Disadvantages: Not for the professional gigging guitarist

...This is the revised Zoom 505II guitar effects pedal. The major difference from the original Zoom 505 is that it starts you off with 36 effects patches instead of the original's 24. Its a very small pedal, just 14x12 centimetres, but it packs a great punch. My version is the sleek silver one, but the design is the same, which ever colour you buy. The essence of the device is that it allowes the guitarist to utilise up to 36 patch effects, up to 9 ...
...If you're an indoors guitarist like me who wants to have good fun with his instrument, or maybe needs something extra for recording purposes, the Zoom 505II is the multi-effects pedal for you. At this sort of price, you've got absolutely nothing to lose. Buy one today! ... Read review

ZOOM 707-II Guitar
Review of Zoom GFX 707 by stavroshamster

Advantages: Lots of sounds, smartmedia
Disadvantages: made entirely of plastic, complicated interface

...would be hard to beat, considering what you get for your money. For a practice unit this is ideal, but maybe if you wanted something to gig with you shoul consider something with a slightly easier interface that doesnt neccesarily give you all the features of the ZOOM 707-II ... Read review

Show 'em Who's BOSS
Review of Boss Metal Zone MT-2 by brunocrosier

Advantages: Great look, durable, nice tones
Disadvantages: Price

The BOSS Metal Zone MT-2 has become one of the world's most commonly used effects pedals, and is the pedal of choice of most of the metal genre's finest guitarists. It has a three-band equaliser and semi-parametric midtone equaliser to provide an optimum range of tones to suit a variety of subgenres. It seems that BOSS are so confident in their product that they have offered a 5 year warranty with their product. Perhaps this is because it is built ...
...pedals myself i can safely say that the UM100 gives a much crisper yet distorted tone. So unless you are more interested in buying a brand name than a product, i would steer clear of all BOSS products and buy yourself 4 Behringer pedals for the price of one MT-2. ... Read review

Jim Dunlop Cry Baby Wah Wah Pedal
Review of Dunlop Jim Cry Baby by BenMeredith123

Advantages: Great Effects, Easy To Use, Cheap, Extremley Long Lasting Battery Life
Disadvantages: I Really Can't Think Of Any

Hi Dudes!!! This is easily the best standard wah wah pedal out there and arguably better than some of the signature pedals. It is the number one most sold pedal in the world which must tell you something about it. Used by Joe satriani to get his amazing sounds you can go from those low tones for jazz and blues type stuff and some oldy rock or go for some high up ear blasting tones right up top for some new world metal stuff. The main and best pitch ... Read review
