For Dinging Clean Teeth
Review of Braun 5500 by tashan

Advantages: Cleans very well, but gentle on gums. memory timer, pressure sensor
Disadvantages: I wish it would gave me some notice, when it needed charging

I must admit I was a sceptic about electric toothbrushes. I have quite good teeth anyway, and hadn't had any problems with my manual toothbrush. Especially as electric toothbrushes always seemed to be expensive. People in my office were always raving about them and I was on ebay one day and saw this model for £20, which I thought was a good price, so I decided to give it a go. Boy, I was so glad I did, you don't realise how clean and fresh your ...
...these; it was like a scrap e and polish from the dentist without the pain or risk of a drill. Apparently this toothbrush has 3D brushing action - "three brushing dimensions at once" combining pulsations with oscillating-rotating techology. Basically it pulsates in and out (20,000 per minute) and moves around side to side (7600 per minute). This is supposedly what makes it so effective at removing plaque and preventing and reversing gingivitis. ... Read review

brushes that work, not your hand
Review of Braun 9271 ORAL B PRO Vitality White by fastfast

Advantages: lazy brushing for lazy people
Disadvantages: 16 hrs charging = 20 mins

I was once a fan of the manual toothbrush but now, the electric ones has taken over, these things are good and saves you hours of wiggling your hand over you face in front of the mirror. The bad point is the charching time is 16 hours for 20 mins worth of charge, it aint all that long and gets about three brushes before you have to slip it back onto its crade for another day. So make a battery operated version please braun! You only get one head ...
...about £7.99 from Boots. there is a lot of rubber grip on this thing, all that blue bit you see is rubber, and ribbed just to make sure you have it teady in your hand even if your hands are wet. power is good too, the strong motor whizzes away nicely you can tell if you brush too hard, the motor starts to whine slightly. The button is clever too as i have found out that when brushing, saliva and paste have a tdancy to run down the brush and over ... Read review

Expensive - but worth it!
Review of Braun 9500 DLX by p-sutherby

Advantages: Gives very clean teeth & is easy to use
Disadvantages: Expensive Purchase Price

Electric toothbrushes have been around for a while now, with a number of models available. From experience I have found some to be very poor and offer little advantages over a manual toothbrush, whilst others very good and really felt the difference. My previous toothbrush broke, so it was time to get a new one. After shopping around, I decided to get one of the 'top of the range' models and see what really sets them apart. I purchased the 9500 ...
...at over £160, but I looked around and found it for £70 brand new on ebay so went for it. The toothbrush certainly looks the part, with a digital display and smart styling, and comes with 2 brush heads - the regular 'floss action' head, and another 'probrite' one to help whiten teeth. A travel case and the charger. are also included The charging base has a section to hold spare brush heads and can store 4 away. The manual is comprehensive, and complete ... Read review

Distinctly Average
Review of Braun ORAL-B D 12.013 Vitality Precision by jonwebb5

Advantages: Cleans well, can feel the difference
Disadvantages: Rapid deterioration, expensive replacement heads, poor battery life

This was the first electric toothbrush I bought. At first, I was extremely impressed with it, and like many other, wondered how I had ever managed without it. Then, as the months passed, I began to notice a few little annoyances about it. Now, six months on, I have stopped using it altogether and returned to my manual. That's not to say the toothbrish is no good. Far from it. The first time you use the toothbrush, the intense feeling of cleanliness ...
...obvious, and your mouth really does feel great after use. I'm sure it is much better for you as well, but as I have never experienced problems with my teeth, I can't claim to have found much difference there. However, initial impressions were very good. It felt great and was greatly out-performing my old manual. Eventually though, the toothbrish was getting on my nerves. The biggest problem was the dramatic deterioraton of battery life. When new, ... Read review

Ultrasonex toothbrush - problem changing head
Review of Ultrasonex Phaser Toothbrush by catsholiday

Advantages: brilliant clean and helps stop gum disease
Disadvantages: head very difficult if not impossible to change

This is the product description: A sonic toothbrush with ultrasound. There are three brushing options to cope with extra needed performance and for more sensitive teeth. LED lights to indicate what mode is in use. There is a 3 minute timer which has an auto shut off and also a pacer function to make sure you have even brushing.of all four quadrants in your mouth There is a lightweight and easy grip handle. . These brushes definately help with gum ...
...teeth looked compared to previous visits. I had one of these toothbrushes for about 18 months and was very impressed with how well it cleaned my teeth. It definately made a sonic sort of vibrating which seemed to clean even better than the previous electric tooth brush I had with a circular head. The fact that the head was 'normal' toothbrush size meant you covered more teeth as you moved the brush along in your mouth. I didn't find the size a problem ... Read review
