I have owned my Tom Tom for nearly two years now, and use it most days for work. The system is really easy to use thanks to a touch screen menu system, using symbols as well as descriptions for the main menu options, and it is really easy to program and set up with your own details. No matter how you program it the Tom Tom will always lead you down narrow country lanes rather than the safer A or B roads, and very annoingly it was convinced that we were in the middle of a field when on some parts of the A30, despite updating the maps on a regular basis. The TOMTOM GO 920T is an essential for people who travel both short distances and long distances in the car. I paid £353 for this beauty. I'm usually very wary, on what Im purchasing if its in the hundreds range as I want a good quality product if im going to splash out. ...have text-to-speech which means the tomtom can announce street names, as well as sms and traffic messages. Which means you can focus more on driving as the tomtom does everyhting for you. Advantages: Fast route calculations, clear voice prompts, great screen
Disadvantages: Silly features, battery life

The tomtom 730 is a great device however the extra features are really not needed for the extra cost of the device. For example putting the audio prompts through your car radio is great but with a loud and clear on-board speaker whats the point? I have an mp3 player so the mp3 player on the tomtom is no use to me.
