Review of Peavey Bandit 112 by doofeh12

Advantages: brilliant sound
Disadvantages: very heavy

...in my bedroom. The special peavey super saturation function is really effective for adding gain to your sound but not simply recieving a lot of noise. As well as this the amp comes with what you'd expect. There are the standard equalizer and volume controls as well as a 2 channel selector.in my case the amp also came with a two way effect switch pedal which easily plugs into the back of the amp. all in all this is an impressive amp with a brilliant ... Nice pice of kit for the price
Review of Marshall MS 2 by andrewpledger91

Advantages: Portable, oher uses
Disadvantages: Poor OD Channel

This amp has got 1 volume, 1 tone and one Off/Clean/OD knob. It has a single input at the front and a headphone out on the side. As stated above it has a clean and an overdrive channel, the latter being much louder. I mainly use this amp when I'm playing in the garden or outside. I also use it as an iPod speaker thanks to a patch cable and a jack adapter. I play too many styles to mention and it handles about half of them. One feature I wish this ...
...be very weak. I use this amp with a Harley Benton superstrat or with an Epiphone LP 100. As mentioned with a bit of coaxing it can cope with some of the styles I play. The distortion is not brutal enough unless it is cranked which leads to quite a lot of unwanted fizz. When either of the channels is over about half the start to break up and distort, this adds some crunch to the clean channel and a bit too much fizz to the OD channel. So far nothing ... Read review

Marshall MG30DFX : A Poor Imitation
Review of Marshall MG 30 DFX by triztanwillis123

Advantages: Cheap and loud
Disadvantages: lacks a real something, uninspiring tone

...awesome. It didn't recreate the marshall tone of my heroes. It didn't have any edge. This amp is fine for a beginner. When you can just about play something, any sound is good enough. But i bet as you get better, this amp will soon because tiresome, because it doesn't highlight your technique. Presonally, I would buy something like a Line 6 Spider, a Roland Cube 30, and i would try the Marshall Hybrid AVT 20, to see if it fits the bill. A fine beginners ... Read review

Line 6 Spider 3 : Tristan Willis
Review of Line 6 Spider III 15 by triztanwillis123

Advantages: Awsome tone in a small package
Disadvantages: volume jumps between channels

I love this amp. It just works, and works brilliantly. I bought it as a step up from my Marshall MG30DFX, and this is a vastly superior amplifier. This amp is the most versatile amp i think you'll ever encounter. It does thrash, death metal, blues, rock, shred, clean, anything. It also has a nice range of effects, which are brilliant and go from subtle to mind bending. The construction of this amp is also exemplary. The control nobs feel solid, the ...
...easy to read. The cabinet itself appears to be made from plywood, and sounds fine for an amp of this price. This amp works brilliantly with my LP, my strat and my SG, i love it. If there is one problem with this amp, it is the volme fluctuation when going from channel to channel. I have a nice set up on 'Crunch', i switch to 'Insane' for my solo, and it kills every dog in a 10 mile radius, and pisses of te neighbours to boot. Also, the preset effects ... Read review

Marshall DSL 50
Review of Marshall DSL 50 by BenMeredith123

Advantages: Extremley Cheap, Versatile, Range in sounds
Disadvantages: Gain isn't quite enough in some cases.

Hi Dudes!!! This amp has probaly the best value for money you can get through any comapny out there. You can pick them up for around £500 and run through a 4x12 the tones you can get are amazing. although if you are looking for a modern trash metal sound i would give this a miss as it is a valve amp if you like metal you would be better with a tube amp such as the mode four etc. it has a clean channel and overdrive(distortion) channel. The gain ... Read review
