I think I should mention first that this guitar isn't by Applause, even though it's in that section. It's actually manufactured by Encore, who are fairly well known in the world of beginner- level instruments. Like the Japanese companies (e.g. Yamaha) twenty years ago, there has been a recent influx of Korean companies making instruments (I think Takamine are another one?)
