Review of Yamaha CJ12 Country Jumbo Acoustic Guitar by
mc1973
Advantages: A truly brilliant guitar at a truly brilliant price.
Disadvantages: Having to buy a jumbo size hard case. (bit more pricey).
...far wrong investing in a Yamaha CJ12.
this guitar is ideally suited to those who may be finding the guitar that they learned on is becoming increasingly hard and frustrating to play, maybe due to poor action or poor build quality.
The CJ12 is an exact (more or less) model to the CJ120, however the 120 costs around £1000.
Reatailing at about £325 this guitar feels and plays like a guitar of twice the price, also the sound quality is phenomenal.

Ovation Country Artist Classical Electric
Review of Ovation Country Artist 6773 Classical Guitar by
Uglybro
Advantages: Price, playability, craftmanship, live and recorded sound
Disadvantages: average acoutic sound, round back guitar
The Ovation Country Artist classical guitar is what one would expect from and American made Ovation. It is equally at home on the stage or in the studio. The acoustic sound is unbalanced, as the wound strings over power the nylon/gut strings, but plug it in and this guitar shines. Each string has an idividual peizo transducer which is coupled with a pre-amp that has a four band EQ and a notch filter to elimenate feed-back during live performances. ... ...muddy up a recording. This guitar is well made. The seka spruce top has a flawless clear finish; the head stock has side mounted ornate slot tuners which are beatiful to look at and a pleasure to use; the neck is wide and thin and very easy to finger with ample room between strings; fret work is imaculate; the intonation of the ebony board is excellent. A nice touch is the wooden flower inlay at the 12th fret which matches the ornate sound hole inlay. ...

Martin DM
Review of Martin DM Acoustic Guitar by
superandyp
Advantages: warm sound, For a range of styles, time proven dreadnaught design.
Disadvantages: Laminated back and sides
...and blues fingerstyle and the Martin suits my style of playing. The guitar has a solid spruce top and laminated mahogany back and sides giving it a very warm sound that has improved after playing. My first impressions of the guitar was how well it was built. It had no rough edges and no other noticable imperfections. When buying the guitar i was considering a Taylor 214 and a Yamaha LL. I recomend buying the Taylor equivelent if a brighter sound ... ...that Bert Jansch gets out of his, and at this price you are paying a bit more money for the Martin heritage. After a year of owning it i have found that the top of the guitar marks easily and the body has become shiny where my arm has rested. ...

Epiphone G400
Review of Epiphone G-400 Electric Guitar by
leeds_fan_1
Advantages: Cheap, Good Quality
Disadvantages: Bad Stock Strings
I have owned this product for half a year now and am very impressed with the quality of the product, considering how cheap it is available. It is very versatile, and is capable of playing a variety of genres, but in general mostly Rock, a la ACDC/Bon Jovi, and Blues Rock. It has fantastic action and set up, and the Pickups sound great, although i would reccomend changing the strings as soon as you get it , as the stock ones arent very good and don't ...

One of the best guitars I have played.
Review of Yamaha SA2200 by
Ottavia
Advantages: Good low action, beautiful to look at, versatile tone.
Disadvantages: Can fall out of tune a little too easily
Yamaha SA2200
I have owned one of these guitars now for three months and have not grown tired of playing it one bit. As it is semi acoustic it still plays loud enough unplugged for practising at home, but to really enjoy this guitar, plug it in you must! The coil tap on the tone knobs enables you to switch from humbucker to single coil sounds. This is an invaluable feature and is incredibly easy to activate. This means you can have everything from ... ...many professional players have chosen Yamaha guitars over Gibsons due to the quality and look of the instruments. Due to the versatile tone, this guitar is suitable for a lot of different playing styles. I use it for playing rock/indie/jazz and I also play in a covers band with it. If you are gigging with this guitar I would reccomend having a chromatic tuner as part of your setup as it doesn't always stay in tune as well as you'd like it. Having ...
