FAR BETTER THAN MY GHD's
Review of Nclarke NCS54/NCS70 by
Larissa106
Advantages: Great price, lovely straight and sleek hair
Disadvantages: Outside gets a bit hot
I bought these straigheners a few weeks ago when I saw them on sale at half price in Boots. I paid £19.99 for them. I bought them as a back up pair in case my GHD's ever packed up. I absolutely LOVE these Nicky Clarke ones. They are far better than my GHD's. They seem to get hotter which means my hair gets straighter and in less time too. My hair is very thick and I found that I had to go over each section a couple of times with my GHD's. But with ...

Salon straightening at home!!!!!
Review of Nclarke NCS75 by
April_Angel
Advantages: Perfect results everytime.
Disadvantages: very little, and very few.
The Nicky Clarke NCS75 also goes by the name "pro ceramic worldwide straightener" because it has a worldwide voltage, suitable for use in any country. I personally tested it out, and it worked fine in the middle of Asia as well as the middle of London! -PRICE-
It's RRP is £35.00, but my advice is go to Argos, they have it on sale quite often, and to my fury, it once went down to £15, just after I bought it at ammuch higher price. So keep an eye ... ...simple and sophisticated looking piece, with a black base and red panels at the top and bottom. It has a very curved and rounded design, the edges are rounded, the panels are also rounded, and the handle is curved aswell. -SPECIAL FEATURES IN THE DESIGN-
The curved handle is a special feature in the straightener as it is meant to make styling easier and more comfortable. Personally, I think it's more design than feature, because it's not a main ...

These straighteners are brilliant
Review of Nclarke NCS22 Cerami by
cheerxtreme
Advantages: work very well, heat up fast.
Disadvantages: not to be used on wet hair
I use these straightners on my hair, my hair is very thick and wavy, so normally my hair is hard to get that out of the salon straight hair look, but with these straightners my hair looks amazing, they are very easy to use and heat up really quickly. I definately reccomend them. The look very stylish, they are easy to hold and use, very light. They also gave my hair a lovely shine. The more i used them ( i used them everyday) my hair started to feel ... ...much. When using hair straightners i reccomend using a heat protecting cream, because if you use hair straightners to much you will get plenty of split ends and dead hair. The only downside to these straightners is you cant straighten from wet hair, i always think that blowdrying first always helps anyway. a good way to straighten hair is seperate into sections and straighten bit by bit. ...

VERY GOOD QUICK TO HEAT UP AND EASY TO USE
Review of Nclarke NCS69 by
tobydoguff
Advantages: easy to use with little practice
Disadvantages: burns your fingers if you are not careful
I LIKE THIS STRAIGHTENER AS I HAVE DIFFICULT TO MANAGE HAIR, IT IS VERY EASY TO USE AND IT HAS A LITTLE STAND WHEN NOT IN USE
THE ONLY PROBLEM WITH ANY STRAIGHTENER IS YOU CAN EASILY BURN YOUR FINGERS OR HANDS ON THE PLATES.
THE SAYING IS TOTALLY CORRECT THOUGH THE MORE YOU PAY THE BETTER THE GOODS I WOULD DEFINATLY RECOMMEND THESE BUT MAKE SURE YOU BY A GEL OR LOTION TO PROTECT YOUR HAIR AS IT CAN BECOME BURNT AND EXTREMELY DRY YOU CAN BUY THESE ...

Cheap and Cheerful
Review of Nclarke NCG7 Professional Ceramic by
dmilnerharris
Advantages: Heat up quickly, light
Disadvantages: Power cord gets tangled easily
I have had these straighteners for a while now, so I have had time to get used to them.
At the time they were one of the best ‘cheap’ end straighteners you could buy. With having the ceramic plates they heat up quite quickly, usually to the top temperature in two-five minutes. The plate size is quite small so was ideal when I had short hair; they took no time at all to get that sleek look. It used to take me about 5 minutes to get dead flat hair ... ...have to maybe go over some bits again before I went out, but don’t we all!
However, as my hair has grown I find that they don’t cope to well with thick hair, and also hair that is not bone dry. For example if you was, dry then try to straighten your hair all at once you will not get that professional straight look, more of a half hearted, slightly more bodied flyaway look.
Since having longer hair I have also found that they get too hot for your ...
