Hairspray

Advantages: Lasts well, is really cheap and leaves my hair nice and shiny.
Disadvantages: Smells a bit but who cares!

I have relatively short hair and I style it almost daily, I don't like to use expensive products but I still want ones that work! This hairspray works quite well, my hair doesn't feel sticky and hard, just controlled. At just 52p for 300ml I think this spray is an absolute bargain! ...packaging is nothing special, a silver tin which can easily be over looked on the shelves as it is not in any way imaginatively designed or eye catching. The spray is easily depressed so there is no having to fiddle about to get it to work. This does smell a bit when sprayed but I don't mind it that much, not like some. I lighten my hair from mid brown to a dark blonde colour and so it is dry. My style needs to be blow dried as I don't like it flat, my daughter insists I need to take better care of my hair and thinks that part of that is using a heat protecting product on my hair before I dry it each time. ...lightly spraying onto your hair before combing it through for even distribution and the drying and straightening. This is also supposed to improve the performance of straighteners too but I have no idea about that as I do not use them. My daughter has used this on a couple of occasions when she has stayed over and she thinks it is quite good. Advantages: Holds your style exactly where you want it - for hours
Disadvantages: None

This is the best hairspray I have ever used. I have fine soft hair in a layered above the shoulder style. Although soft hair is lovely to touch it tends to flop very quickly - no matter what product is used to style it. Not any more! I blow dry my hair as usual, then using a long handled comb lift sections of hair and lightly (not too close or it will be sticky) spray. ...at least my hair looks the same at the end of the evening as when I set out. It reminds me of the squirty hairspray my mother used in the 60s (and it held her beehive in place for days!).
