Great 2.5 " Hard drive
Review of Western Digital Scorpio WD2500BEVS 250 GB by dragondreams

Advantages: Fast, reliable and small
Disadvantages: None

The hard drive is meant to be used internally but I use mine as an external hard drive with an USB external enclosure. The drive might not be the fastest around but it is fast enough to use for those large files that makes life difficult. The fact that it uses SATA makes faster than IDE hard drives of the same size. The SATA also makes it very stable and up to date with the latest technology. I like the fact that you can buy it for such a low price ... Read review

Xbox 360 120GB HDD
Review of Microsoft Xbox 360 Hard Drive Hard drive 120 GB by Ownage_AUA

Advantages: 6 times the space of the 20 GB version
Disadvantages: Price is a little steep

Well, I just completed a week using the 120GB Xbox 360 hard drive, and I have to admit it was worth it! The capacity, looks etc. all made it worth it, especially since for me it was free (got it from a friend). I would recommend this to anyone who has a HDTV and wants to download his/her favorite movies. With more and more movies coming out in HD (High definition) it is going to take more and more space (especially for longer movies such as The ... Read review

Review of Maxtor OneTouch 4 Mini 250 GB by millieanna

Advantages: simple to use, good looking too
Disadvantages: none

...wheel come off, then the Maxtor OneTouch 4 Mini could be the solution for you. Basically it is a small 11cm x 7cm x1cm silver and black hard drive (slightly larger than a pack of cards)which is capable of storing all your documents at a touch of a button or on a schedule and as importantly , it has the capacity to recover all the contents of your hard drive should you have a complete computer disaster. The One Touch Mini comes in three capacities, ...
...the other end to the Maxtor box, follow on screen instructions for about five minutes installation time, then press the button on the front of the Maxtor to back up your files. The back up of all my music, photos, documents etc took about 4 minutes. Usually this takes me forever when I run my Norton back up. After this initial back up you can either remove the appliance or leave it plugged in (It powers itself from the computer) and back up according ... Read review

Maxtor Basics 160GB External Portable Hard Drive
Review of Maxtor Basics Portable 160 GB by SMITHIA

Advantages: inexpensive, easy to use and very portable
Disadvantages: less storage space available than advertised in the specs

I bought one of these drives yesterday at Tesco - £39.97 - what a bargain, in the big electrical stores its well over 50 quid... However, when I plugged it in and tried it out I discovered that it reads as a 149GB drive. Thinking that meant it was faulty, I returned it to the store and made an exchange (that was painless, so kudos to Tesco!). The thing is, the new one reads as the exact same 149GB! So whats that all about? I'd be interested in the ...
...a duff batch or are there technicals reasons for it reporting less than 160Gb when connected... With regard to the rest of the other guy's review, I agree completely - it is dead easy to use, small and lightwieght. Quite cute actually - if electronics can be cute! Hell, at that price 149GB increases my storage so much that the missing 11GB isn't such a big issue for me... but it does make me wonder about the reality of advertised specs vs. real ... External Hard Drive Fun
Review of Archos ARCDisk Hard Drive USB Key 4 GB by burns2007

Advantages: Size, Easy to Use, Quick, Simple
Disadvantages: Could be a little bigger in capacity

This small external hard drive is very similar to some of the portable flash/pen drives that are going around at the moment. When I bought it a couple of years ago I was very impressed with what it could do making it easy to take files back and forth no matter where I went on a day to day basis. At the moment this external hard drive is selling for an average of £30 to £35 which isn't too bad. Power ********** Like some of the USB flash drives ...
...can draw power directly from the USB that is been used to transfer data back and forth which means there is no need for any additional power cables etc that you would expect with some devices. Design ********** The beauty about this external hard drive is that is starts off as a square/rectangular shaped device which is able to fit easily into any pocket or bag. When you want to use it all that the user needs to do is open it up to allow the USB ... Read review
