The Samsung Spinpoint has, for the past year or so, been the hard drive of choice for those looking for good value. I needed a new hard drive recently, and I had no reservations whatsoever about getting this. When it arrived, I installed it and was immediately impressed at how much quicker my computer felt to use. ...The SATA II interface allows for fast data transfer, and I could copy files about my series of folders with great speed. Well, I just completed a week using the 120GB Xbox 360 hard drive, and I have to admit it was worth it! The capacity,looks etc. all made it worth it, especially since for me it was free (got it from a friend). I bought one of these drives yesterday at Tesco - £39.97 - what a bargain, in the big electrical stores its well over 50 quid... However, when I plugged it in and tried it out I discovered that it reads as a 149GB drive. Thinking that meant it was faulty, I returned it to the store and made an exchange (that was painless, so kudos to Tesco!). The thing is, the new one reads as the exact same 149GB!
