I have this drive pre installed in my computer and the first thing i realised was that it was extremely FAST; i had tested the drive on a hard drive benchmarking program called 'HDTach'. This is as on my HP'm7635', using this drive i got a burst speed of 210 MB/s and a average read rate of 70MB/s; both are extremely fast. You can force large files down the hard drive and it wont struggle; though i still recommend that you defragmentate the drive on a regular basis for optimal speed. First of all this HDD id like to say this is a very good HDD but it not to good if your planning to carry it around it ways around 1.5kg and then there's the power cable, the drive is big too 13.6 cm x 6.5 cm x 21.7 cm, so not very portable. The HDD capacity is 300GB but actually is slightly less around 285GB.
