A fast, quiet hard drive
Review of Samsung SpinPoint S250 HD250HJ 250 GB by fatnickccash

Advantages: Fast, quiet, cheap
Disadvantages: Can get better value with bigger HDDs, may be too small for some

The Samsung Spinpoint has, for the past year or so, been the hard drive of choice for those looking for good value. I needed a new hard drive recently, and I had no reservations whatsoever about getting this. When it arrived, I installed it and was immediately impressed at how much quicker my computer felt to use. ...The SATA II interface allows for fast data transfer, and I could copy files about my series of folders with great speed. This model is only 250GB, and so is inevitably not quite as good value as the 500GB model (in terms of £/GB, where it sits at about £0.17/GB compared to £0.12/GB), but I cannot see myself using any more than what is provided, and unless you have an extensive media collection it's probably worth saving the ~£20 and getting this ... Xbox 360 120GB HDD
Review of Microsoft Xbox 360 Hard Drive Hard drive 120 GB by Ownage_AUA

Advantages: 6 times the space of the 20 GB version
Disadvantages: Price is a little steep

Well, I just completed a week using the 120GB Xbox 360 hard drive, and I have to admit it was worth it! The capacity, looks etc. all made it worth it, especially since for me it was free (got it from a friend). I would recommend this to anyone who has a HDTV and wants to download his/her favorite movies. With more and more movies coming out in HD (High definition) it is going to take more and more space (especially for longer movies such as The ... Read review

Advantages: simple to use, good looking too
Disadvantages: none

...wheel come off, then the Maxtor OneTouch 4 Mini could be the solution for you. Basically it is a small 11cm x 7cm x1cm silver and black hard drive (slightly larger than a pack of cards)which is capable of storing all your documents at a touch of a button or on a schedule and as importantly , it has the capacity to recover all the contents of your hard drive should you have a complete computer disaster. The One Touch Mini comes in three capacities, ...
...the other end to the Maxtor box, follow on screen instructions for about five minutes installation time, then press the button on the front of the Maxtor to back up your files. The back up of all my music, photos, documents etc took about 4 minutes. Usually this takes me forever when I run my Norton back up. After this initial back up you can either remove the appliance or leave it plugged in (It powers itself from the computer) and back up according ... Read review
