Very good, does its job well + 5 year warranty
Review of Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 320 GB by
AdamHonek
Advantages: Fast, many models available, 5 year warranty, NCQ, 16MB buffer, perpendicular recording
Disadvantages: None as I'm aware
...fashion.
Seagate also provides a 5 year warranty whereas the competition doesn't. Seagate support is very good, they replaced one with a snapped SATA connector (physical damage) even though they claim do not replace units with mechanical damage. Overall you can't go wrong with this drive. ...

Best 7200.10 hard drive but still not perfect
Review of Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 320 GB by
neo1983
Advantages: Fast except multithread read, good capacity, stable, 5 years warranty
Disadvantages: Weak at multithread/multiple reads, a little noisy
...The good things of Seagate Barracuda 7200.10
Seagate hdd are the most stables drives in the market, I've used my drive for quite a time and never experienced a single problem.
Large capacity, 320 GB is more than enough (300 Gb real)
Good speed, especially at writing data, but also at reading excepting multiple file copy. Speed is about 75-80 Mb at large files
The access time is about 13-14ms (about the same as other hdd)
Temperature IS OK.

fast and cheap hdd drive
Review of Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD3200AAKB 320 GB by
neo1983
Advantages: Fast, Cheap,Reliable
Disadvantages: a little hot, a little noisy
As a computer geek I used many Hard Drives drives until this one and I'm finally satisfied. As a multitasking user i open many programs at the same time: antivirus, internet, multiple downloads, winamp and even gaming at the same time and often I even game sometimes and this hdd really does a good job. The 320GB (290 Gb actually) are sufficient for storage and comes at a very decent price.
The wd hard drives are really reliable, not a single problem ... ...are insane: 80 Mb max at data read and 75 Mb max at data write, about 13 ms access time.
The temperatures are pretty hot in summer, I recommend cooler.
It is a little noisy but are far more noisier hard drives on the market
Stability: 4 full days of massive downloads, in summer is enough for you?!
Overall: great hdd drive ...

How long will it take to fill this drive?
Review of Seagate Barracuda 7200.8 400 GB by
saucy77
Advantages: Size and speed
Disadvantages: None
...I orginally had a 200gb Seagate 7200rpm SATA drive, which was faulty within the warranty time. God bless Seagate tho... this is what they replaced it with, and don't I love them for it!!!
This drive is now my back up drive where I can store all the stuff I need. No more CD's and DVD's laying around getting scratched, and no more having to hunt through the one's that aren't.
The good thing about SATA is you can use them like normal ATA hard drive's, ... ...F4.
As with all Seagate drive's you get a 5 year warranty which you can RMA directly back to Seagate. Unlike the 13gb Fujitsu ATA drive originally in my PC which I purchased in 2000 and died in 2001... I did purchase a 3 yr extended warranty, but TIME wouldn't honour it unless my whole PC was identical to when I bought it... not likely with the way technology is growing these days. For those who have never had a Fujitsu drive, I would recommend ...
