Whitesnakes 30th Anniversary Collection appears to be a glorified greatest hit album. However it's more than this. Its 52 tracks contain live tracks, the original version of Here I Go Again, songs from David Coverdale's (DC's) album with Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin and of course songs from DC's solo work. The three CD's cover the carrier of DC after he left Deep Purple. The first disc with tracks like Ready An' Willing and Fool For Your Loving (live) ...
...would say the first disc is best of Whitesnakes blues. The second CD contains the Coverdale Page songs as well as more live songs and a collection of Whitesnake hits. The third CD contains the song Best Years from Whitesnakes latest album and We Wish You Well the song Whitesnake wrote for their audiences but have never preformed live. This is possibly my favourite Def Leppard album of all time. It is definately one of the most forgotten albums, only remembered for 'Let's Get Rocked' but it really contains more than that. This was the album compiled just after Steve Clarks death and really had sentimental vaulue to the band. ...most vulnerable time, looking back on all the times when they should have seen the destruction going on behind the mans eyes. But it was definately never easy. My heart goes out to the band, for coping so well with such a terrible happening. Disadvantages: The 'new' covers aren't great

...old cover versions (the original Garage Days Re-Visited), the 1987 EP (can't remember the actual name of it), B-sides etc). Unfortunately, the covers that appear here for the first time are rather disappointing and show that Metallica really were on the decline. ...to get a bit old (even though they were only in their mid-30s at the time). The mix is too eclectic for my tastes. There's no denying that they made a well-played, well-produced record here, but it doesn't blow you away like the other covers. If you don't already own all the previously released covers, this is worth buying, but to be brutally frank, you could end up using the disc of 'new' covers to scare away the birds from your crops. ... ...what I most like about Tool is, that they don't just make music for the money and they do not make so-callled "Shovel-music" such as certain artists *cough*Brittney Spears *cough*. But overall I think this is a solid album,personal favorites from this album include "Vicarious" and "1000 days" but to be honest I love almost all songs that Tool created, only a few exceptions exist here!
