Got this product as a christmas present back last year, within 9 months of buying it two of the speakers have blown. replaced the main two front speakers with two 750watt awia speakers and they run purrfic. now the system has more depth and volume. the dvd player's 5.1 output is very quiet but we use the 2channel output (headphone socket in TV) and use the surround boost on the unit and it works brilliant. i would recommend this and then change ... I purchased this based on price. Big mistake! While it does have alot of features including Freeview, the sound quality is awful if you connect all the speakers. Basically if you connect the subwoofer it creates a buzzing sound that is very intrusive ant any volume, even if you press mute on the remote the subwoofer buzzes away. ...and feel, the retro feel Panasonic PT-150 is a sure winner with me. Reason for purchase.
