The speakers are very "subtle" and wall mountable - I didn't want large in your face speakers. Sony is a quality brand that I rate. I wanted something that gave good sound quality from music CD's (I use it as a Hi-Fi as well). My Verdict? Whilst I wouldn't class myself as a "tv/vision/hi-fi" ...
...The music quality from CD's is cracking, considering this is not a dedicated music player. The bass is not overpowering, just a quality feeling. The mid range from the 5 wall mounted speakers is also superb (especially given their size - I still wander how they can produce the sound they do!!!). Disadvantages: Remote is too complex and long winded to setup

...you know it! Therefore the Bose premium jewel speakers look great in white; The Bose V30 and Lifestyle 48 are the only systems to come with the tiny Bose premium jewel speakers! You can tell this by the white metal grille facials they have. Disadvantages: base of speakers takes up more space than expected

The sound quality through these speakers is excellent and the sub woofer is fantastic. The DVD player can play just about anything but found when I played a CD in it there was no screensaver so you have to make sure you press the button to bring up the CD information or you run the risk of getting screen burn or so my husband says. We use ours with a samsug TV, I don't know if this makes a difference or not but I have fund that the DVD player woks ...
...I think it may have been a little tricky to install but my husband did it and it seemed to take quite a long time. I find the speakers although they are quite sleek looking they still take up quite a lot of unnecessary floor space due to the big bases. Overall I would recommend this to anyone who asked. ... Its perfect for an apartment type housing. Personaly i thnk the sub woofer is a little weak. The DVD player plays just about all the formats such as SVCD, MPEG, AVI and DIVX. One of the cool feature it had is the Ipod dock system. You can listen to your ipod and even watch movies from it, if you have a video Ipod.
