I'm obviously a bright boy!
Review of 211 Things a Bright Boy Can Do - Tom Cutler by martin0201

Advantages: Humorous, got some good tips
Disadvantages: Some might not find it funny

... The Genre 211 Things a Bright Boy Can Do is a humorous book, so I would certainly say it falls into the Humour category and the publisher obviously agrees as this is what says above the barcode on the back, although some may say it could be a Reference book due to the recipes and suchlike in it. The Author This is what it says in the front of the book: "The son of a sex therapist and a sometime Dominican friar, Tom spent his early ...

He began his professional career with a number of false starts as a teacher, set designer, double bass player, speechwriter, printer, toyshop manager, lyricist, wine waiter, City consultant, puppet maker, typographer, magazine editor, bandleader, portrait painter, radio reporter, cartoonist, and ghost writer for Cardinal Hume, before leaving the rat-race to spend more time with his slippers. Tom has written two acclaimed ... Read review

BABY'S FIRST WORDS
Review of Autobiography of a One Year Old - Rohan Candappa by freeridemtber

Advantages: very insightful, hilarious
Disadvantages: no sequel that I know of

Autobiography of a one-year-old is a highly original, and extremely funny wee book, and quite possibly the funniest book of fiction I have ever read. The author, Rohan Candappa, attempts to shed some light on just what exactly goes on in between those little ears. The way that he does this is perfect, in my opinion, as he writes it all in first person, imagining himself as a toddler, and how he would perceive the world, in journal format. There ...

Not your typical dynasty...
Review of Blackadder: The Whole Damn Dynasty - Richard Curtis, Ben Elton by frkurt

Advantages: A great companion to the series
Disadvantages: -

The Blackadder series, begun in the 1980s, was a comedic masterpiece set forth by Rowan Atkinson and his comrades. From start to finish, the first series was a masterstroke of wit, irony and comedic styling that fits both the contemporary and medieval situations perfectly. The combination of slapstick and intellectual humour blended well, and the literary types will not miss the occasional credit of William Shakespeare as a collaborating writer on ...
...comedy Shakespeare would have produced today. The first series was set in the pre-Tudor royal family, projecting that Richard III won at Bosworth Field, and a rather older Richard IV succeeded him, until after many adventures, the entire royal family was done in, and Henry Tudor reworte history thereafter (as the victor often does). The first series starred Brian Blessed and Elspet Gray as the King and Queen, and Robert East as their eldest son, ... Read review

Classic Clarkson: Hilarious
Review of Born to Be Riled - Jeremy Clarkson by jonwebb5

Advantages: Very funny, huge variety of subject matter, lots of book for your money, informative, passionate
Disadvantages: Doesn't suit being read in one go, topics recycled and stale towards end

Born To Be Riled is good. It's probably not Jeremy Clarkson's best book, but it certainly makes for great reading, either as a bedtime book, where the short columns are ideal for a quick spell, on the commute or on holiday. It will certainly make you laugh, and the variety is great. It's just missing that little something. The best, and in some cases worst, thing about Born To Be Riled is the fantastic scope of subject matter. Clarkson writes about ...
...connects you to the book. Born To Be Riled is humorous and interesting to read, and is very easy to pick up and get into, perhaps making it best read in short spells, allowing more attention to each individual column. Born To Be Riled certainly has the wit and charm of Clarkson's other books, and the only thing that really lets it down is perhaps it is so long, that by the end, you've read about everything two or three times. However, it is definitely ... Read review

Clrkson does it again
Review of Don't Stop Me Now - Jeremy Clarkson by ravster93

Advantages: good for cars, a general laugh, pictures of the cars( only in the hardback)
Disadvantages: no pictures in the paper back, nextime he can write as a book

A great book again i don't know how he does it but he is amazing. the content of this book is not written specifically for the book but is a compilation of his Sunday times motoring columns. this book is basically a hysterical review of about 60 cars. the review of each car starts off by Jeremy moaning about something or explaining about something which is no concern to us. but somehow he links it all back to the car he is writing about. it is very ...
...to him, and which audience the car is best for. he also compares the car he is reviewing with another similar car and points out the good and bad points. if you wanted to find out about cars then this is a book for you. but even if you do not like cars then this book is also for you . just because this book is so funny. also the hard back contains a picture of each car he reviews to give you an understanding of what he is talking about ...
