HISTORICAL BEAUTY
Review of Ajit Bhawan, Jodhpur by plug86

Advantages: Fantastic swimming pool environment
Disadvantages: HOME IMPROVEMENTS LESS OFTEN

This is truly a lovely hotel with a great swimming pool. The exterior of this hotel and surrounding gardens are outstanding a lot of thought has gone into the presentation of this place and its history. The foyer is absolutely beautiful ,beautiful kistorical pieces and flower arrangements so the place oozes charm. The staff here are very attentive and professional in there approach and attitude. There is a lovely curio shop in the main foyer as well ...
...reasonable in price. Nightly puppet shows are very entertaining. Rooms and the gardens are beautiful and the place has a lot of charm to it . The swimming pool is very unusual as it has a section that goes underneath an enclosed area with a lovely waterfall at the entrance making for a feeling to this area . The owner has a large collection of vintage cars which my husband loved. He graciously allowed my husband a personal tour with informative commentary. ... Read review

"Welcome to the Hotel Santa Rita"
Review of Aldeia Santa Rita Hotel, Candolim by jamspazm

Advantages: Quiet, relaxed, small hotel with high standards, efficient friendly staff
Disadvantages: Lacking excitement for a younger crowd.

"Welcome to the Hotel Santa Rita, such a lovely place, such a lovely face..." So sing the restaurant staff to the tune of the Eagles hit "Hotel California." And indeed they are correct, even if their singing is atrocious. The hotel complex itself is smaller than the average at 55 rooms, yet at no time does it feel claustrophobic or crammed in. In fact if anything this adds to its charm and friendly character. Situated in small well kept gardens ...
...Ayervedic clinic (for massage or traditional therapies) and a crepe restaurant. The rooms are airy and clean. Ours contained a small kitchen area with a sink and fridge stocked with water, beer and soft drinks. A ceiling fan in each room and an air conditioner as well in the bedroom. There was also a small TV in the corner with a selection of movie, news and entertainment channels in Indian and English. The hotel staff are some of the most welcoming ... Read review

A home away from home
Review of Sahil Sarovar Portico Lonavala by D.Hari

Advantages: Good location, hygiene, food and ambience
Disadvantages: Surroundings under development. Debris and litter are visible around the area.

...June 08. Our stay at Sahil Sarovar Portico was enjoyable. The features we found attractive were: Location: The location of this hotel on Tungarli Road was exactly what we preferred for a weekend getaway. The neighbourhood is away from main thorough fares and market places, yet easy to reach. About 1 to 2 km from the hotel, there are several points which afford beautiful views of the adjoining valley and provide excellent opportunity for walks - ...
...unusual design of the hotel - a central spiral stairway with all rooms spread around it - and the limited but well landscaped exterior added to the privacy and charm of the place. We strongly recommend Sahil Sarovar Portico as a weekend getaway and would love to stay their again. ... Read review

Autumn Trees Munnar - Pathetic Hotel
Review of Autumn Trees, Munnar by ssmallya

Advantages: Cant think of any. There are better hotels at better prices in Munnar town
Disadvantages: Nothing is good.

...project party and stayed in Autumn trees. After staying there just for one night i was fully fed up with the quality of rooms and service that the hotel provides. We had booked five deluxe (so called) rooms in the hotel. each room costs about 950 bucks (pretty costly for the service and quality). We had planned to reach Munnar early morning and so the deal was struck with the check in time being 6 am. When we reached there at 6 am we were told that ...
...much delay at around 7.30 am we were given 2 uncleaned rooms for freshening up (rooms were in pathetic condition and we were 14 ppl). The management told us that the cleaning ladies would come only after 8.30 am and so we will have to manage with those rooms only. We somehow adjusted freshened up and went to the tree top restaurant for breakfast. He wasted 1 and a half hours in getting us the breakfast we ordered. 1 and half hours wasted. And even ... Don't go looking for Heritage In the Heritage Inn
Review of Heritage Inn, Amritsar by koshkha

Advantages: Great location, fair price
Disadvantages: Surly service with too much attitude

...lazy time. Why the Heritage Inn? It's not that easy to get good advice on finding a hotel in Amritsar. There are few of the international hotel chains, most booking sites cover only the more expensive places and even then, not in any great detail. Alternatively you could stay almost for free in the Temple's own accommodation - I think Michael Palin did that but it's a bit different when you have a camera crew in tow. I found the Heritage ...
...£20 per night per room and, whilst that's far from the cheapest you'll find, I thought it was pretty good value and I quite possibly would use it again. But I won't book quite so many nights next time. Heritage Inn 1234 Baba Attal Road 143001 Amritsar ... Read review
