Soft landings for bumps
Review of Step2 24 Playmats - 1 pack (4 Total Playmats)" by vickigroth

Advantages: easy to assemble/dismantle. Hardwearing
Disadvantages: only seen them in blue.

I bought a pack of these mats in summer 2005. I initially used them to protect my son from my hard floors when he fell. He was just learning to sit up and although I put cushions around him I couldn't guarantee where he would fall. These gave me peace of mind. The pack has 4 squares of interlocking foam. They are easy to put together and easy enough to take apart as well. They have a multitude of uses and so far I have used them to put under a paddling ...
...small slide in the house to stop little bottoms bumping on my wood floors, as a play mat, as gym mats and also as tunnels! They have been well used and generally stored outside in the shed but apart from the odd scuff they are doing really well. I certainly shan't be replacing them soon and they are almost 3 years old. In fact I may buy some more this year. A really useful product to have around. ... Read review

Fighting Fires In Your Sleep!!!
Review of Step2 Fire Engine Bed & Storage Chest Set by bazzaoleary77

Advantages: Great Fun At Bed Time
Disadvantages: Also Great Fun At Bed Time lol

...bed and settled on the Step2 Fireman Bed which set us back a fairly reasonable £199 including the chest that matches for a side wall. We decided on this bed as it seemed fun and my now 3 year old is a huge Fireman Sam fan. We waited a week for delivery but it was very much worth the wait as it was fantastic. It arrived and of course the first thing I did was set about setting it up. The parts were very easy to slot together with minimal setting ...
...My overall opinion on the Step2 Fire Engine Bed is fantastic value for money and well worth considering if you are looking for a themed bed for your little ones. The bed helps to encourage little ones to go to bed with no trouble however be prepared for a month of wanting to play before sleep lol. I have found that it also keeps him occupied in the mornings giving me that further hour in bed that makes all the difference. If you are looking at this ... Read review

Bop IT - Buy IT (too many puns to pick a goodun)
Review of Bopit Extreme 2 by rolletrog

Advantages: Great entertainment
Disadvantages: A & E waiting times

~~*~~*~~ Bopit Extreme 2 ~~*~~*~~ Forget Thatcher. Dismiss Boudicca. You can even send home Pankhurst. Women's finest hour is now courtesy of a Smith. Yep, I was the first to complete Bopit - defeating all the men of the household and achieving the finest hour of my life. Thus, if you're an underestimated woman with no real sense of accomplishment in your life, then purchase a Bopit and all your dreams will come true. Or, in real life, all the men ...
...is to know about the Bopit under some handy headings. ~~*~~ What is it? ~~*~~ Bopit is an electronic hand held game for ages 8+ (although there's a brat on youtube who's 6 and apparently a genius) that shouts instructions for you to follow - Flick it, Bop it, Twist it, Pull it or Spin it which must be fulfilled within a certain time frame that gets shorter and shorter the more you survive. There's the option to play Vox-Bop which is where the electronic ... Read review

Puzzleball, even easy for us chav's!
Review of High School Musical Junior Puzzleball by sarahbarrow

Advantages: Educational, fun and something a bit different.
Disadvantages: Numbers on the back a bit confusing.

As one of my daughters many, many birthday presents the one i will now review is by far her favourite. Firstly for the simple fact that her bestest friend Hayley bought it for her and secondly because it is a twist on the traditional jigsaw, but still easy enough for a seven year old (or at least she will be on the 17th, god I feel old!) to complete. The product I will now review is "High school musical junior puzzle ball". As with all other HSM ...
...in colour and with the main characters, in this case Troy and Gabriella, the lead couple jumping…. They seem to be randomly jumping on most of the merchandise we own. (Please no smutty remarks!) Also featured on the front of the box is a picture of the made up jigsaw ball with again a picture of the afore mentioned characters, although all the other characters do feature on this puzzle. At the top is the piece amount, in this case it is 96 pieces ... Read review

Build Your Own Brewery
Review of Stickle Bricks by Tricksty

Advantages: Loads of fun, cheap
Disadvantages: None

...her first ever bucket of Stickle Bricks (present from Nana last Christmas), it was her dad and I that spent an hour kneeling on the living room floor constructing wonderful edifices such as pagodas (me) and breweries (daddy). Ahem. She was a wee bit too little then, at one and half, but she started really getting in the bricks a couple of months later. Stickle bricks are very brightly coloured plastic shapes and come in many forms. Most of them ...
...and stimulating. What makes Stickle bricks so great for tiny hands is that you don't have to have much dexterity in order to get them to stick together (which is perhaps why daddy can still make breweries after having a couple of Christmas drinkies….) Unlike Lego, where you need to align a bump with a hole pretty accurately in order to achieve a stick, stickle bricks are covered in thin, bristles - kind of like a very large version of Velcro but ...
