Buzzy Buzzy Bee
Review of VTech 123 Bee by Toady

Advantages: it teachs 1,2,3 and it's a fun toy
Disadvantages: needs more features

I brought this toy Bee for my son James last Christmas as I found it adorable and such a lovely colour yellow. The bees head moves from side to side and it’s antenna’s flash red and plays a nursery rhyme and as you push the bee along his wings go up and down and he makes the sound of buzzing plus plays a nursery rhyme. He has a huge button on top of his back which if you press it once it says 1 and so on to 3. His wings are made of material. ...
...at low or high. The toy actually has two settings a talking and music setting and when turned to the music setting if it’s rolled along or the huge button on top of it’s back is pressed it plays 5 nursery rhymes of which are Three Blind Mice, Oh What Can The Matter Be and Polly Put The Kettle On and everything I have mention above is while it’s on talking setting. This toy is for children of 6 – 12 months and I’d say ... Read review

Vtech Baby Alfie Bear
Review of VTech Alfie Bear by charkai

Advantages: interactive, fun
Disadvantages: pronunciation of some words

This was given to my son for Christmas when he was a year old. He is now nearly 3 and he still likes to play with it. The recomended ages are 3 - 36 months, but i think my son will be playing with it for a while yet as he enjoys it so much. Alfie Bear is a light brown colour, he is wearing red dungarees and there is a big yellow star on his belly. Each point on the star has a face on (Mummy/Daddy/Baby/Grandma/Grandad) and when you press the picture, ...
...press the same picture for a second time, they will laugh and giggle, and if you press the same picture for a third time, then a little tune will be played. In the middle of the star (ie the teddies belly) the words "i love you" will be said. On one of Baby Alfies paws is a button which you press and music will be played. On the other paw is a red light. If you move this paw up towards Alfie's mouth, he will blow you a kiss. I really like this ... Read review

Now your baby can carry your voice everywhere
Review of VTech Baby Chit Chat by cherryfalls

Advantages: It has many features to help your childs development and you can record a personal message for your child
Disadvantages: We have to keep replacing the batteries.

This is a pretty innovative toy that is aimed at children between 9 and 36 Months. The toy is intended to introduce ten early words, which include familiar objects, animals and people. It has a handle that encourages babies to carry it around if they are toddling or to pick it up themselves to play with if they are not. When you turn it on it plays a little tune and the lights around the top of the toy flash. It has two different settings, one which ...
...pressed (i.e., ball, milk or grandma, to name but a few) and the other which plays a tune or makes a noise depending on which button you press. There are 7 different tunes and three different sound effects built in. There are also three large buttons, one for Mummy, one for Daddy and one for Baby. The thing that I really like about this toy is that you can record a personal message for your baby by pressing a record button on the back of it and ... Read review

V Tech Discovery Tree
Review of VTech Discovery Tree by maccaandclaire

Advantages: Children learn really quickly how to use the product
Disadvantages: None

We bought this toy for my 13 month old daughter this Christmas and has been the best present by far. It was bought for £19.99 and definately value for money. Basically you put the coloured balls in the top of the tree and watch them roll down to the bottom. As it gets to the bottom it rolls over coloured key notes which either sing numbers or just the tune. The balls land at the bottom on a foot and the child can press the foot and the ball will ...
...of it on the third day and smiles everytime she puts it in! There is also a storage compartment at the side of the toy for you to store all the balls when finished playing which is ideal as the balls do tend to fly everywhere! A must by for any child over 12 months. ... Read review

HANDY ANDY! CAN HE FIX IT? HANDY ANDY! YES HE CAN
Review of VTech Handy Hands Workshop by Surveyaholic

Advantages: Big, Bright and Loadsa Fun - Perfect for little hands
Disadvantages: none that we could find

I can remember my son receiving this for christmas 2004 when he was about to turn two. It was a present from his nan who likes to buy the toys when she sees them and got if for about £20 in the sales. Although i think its around £40 - £50 normally. I can remember that i had never ever heard of it before and was very intriged to see what he was like. I think the age range is from 3 years+, although my son had no trouble with it at just being two. ...
...two year old to do, but i wouldnt say it isnt suitable for anyone under 3. He had lots of fun learning the names of the tools and what they did and I imagine his hand eye co-ordination improved as he played with it. It is full of bright colours and shapes, which makes him even more fun. There are no sharp edges and all the tools are very big and stong no little bits that could get broken. Suitable for chewing and putting in mouths, as ours were ... Read review
