Philips GC1010
Review of Philips GC1010 by RedNaxelaster

Advantages: Plenty of settings, Very good steam system, large water capacity.
Disadvantages: Heavy, No self-cleaning so can get a little dirt build up, shorter cord.

I bought this iron a couple of years ago,and so far it's been pretty good. To start, it irons really well, and it really makes ironing so much easier than other irons that I have used, the plate-size is just right for most clothes, making ironing a lot quicker. Also, it takes very little time to heat up, taking even more time out of ironing, and, it has a dial which you can use to set the temperature of the iron just right, as on the dial it tells ...
...cotton). The steam can be set to 5 different setting, depending on how much that you want to steam, a not so useful feature, but good anyway. The iron can be filled with plenty of water, meaning you can do a lot of steam ironing before it runs out, but this does make it pretty heavy, which makes it hard on the arms. The cord is a little too short, which can be annoying when ironing long clothes! Overall, I would give this a 4/5. ... Read review

My purple iron
Review of Tefal FV5260 by rockchick080

Advantages: Quick and easy to use
Disadvantages: Could perform just as well if it was slightly smaller

This iron is used in my family house hold and was bought by my mother. Since movin out recently i also choose to buy it myself. I was plesently suprised to see that the price was low for this high performanced iron. I'd recommend this iron to everyone because if it is good enough for my clean freak OCD riddin mother then it is good enough for anyone. I find that it is fast and easy to use. I would suggest this especially for students as it is very ... Read review

Review of Morphy Richards 40730 by minibus10

Advantages: Turns off automatically if left
Disadvantages: Difficult to fill

My iron is the Morphy Richards Precise Steam Plus and it really is,a constant 40 grams of steam with a shot button of 80 grams really makes ironing those jeans a breeze.I have a lot of ironing with 7 people in my family, I need an iron I feel comfortable with and also quick and easy to use. I first bought this iron 18 months ago but accidently knocked it off the kitchen cupboard and broke the soleplate I liked this iron so much I went to Argos the ...
...pleasantly surprised to find it was on offer in the sale at a price of £24.99p.The safety switch-off system is a real bonus,if left unused it switches off automatically very handy if the phone rings etc,it has an anti scale system a must for me as I live in a hard water area and this prolongs the life of the iron, the handle is comfortable being the ergonomically designed Comfigrip handle and the Ceramic coated soleplate ensures the iron glides over ... Kettle
Review of Kenwood ST 060 by blingbruno

Advantages: It boils water
Disadvantages: It doesnt if not told to

The Philips GC 4340 is a precise steam iron which has a special tip so ironing is made easier for those hard to reach places on some garments. I have used the iron a few times and can say that its quite easy to use compared to the iron we had before this one. I'm comparing it on the basis that the iron we had before had a load of different setting for ironing which I found very confusing. The GC 4340 is a solid iron, black and grey in colour. Not ...
...I've only seen this colour. The grip it has is comfortable and isn't too heavy. I think it's a good design for a iron and has a sole ceramic plate so isn't sticky at all, glides very easily when in use. It also has a bright blue LED when its active glowing in the same area were the water in deposited. The functions of the iron are very simple to use and has a built in anti scale system One of the main features of the iron is that it can do a excellent ... Read review
