I've always bought cheap irons in the past but as they tend to mark easily and hence mark your clothes, I decided to buy a slightly more expensive one. With so many to choose from, the main reason I chose this model in the end was because it was half price at Tesco...£15.00. It has a non-stick soleplate so it's less likely to mark and comes with a two year guarantee. Other features include anti-scale system, 400ml water tank, illuminated settings ...
...been very positive. Although I initially thought the 400ml water tank was pretty irrelevant, it's actually quite useful as I don't have to keep refilling it if I've got a lot of ironing to do. It is a bit bigger than the cheap irons I've been used to but if anything this has been advantageous. I originally bought this iron whilst it was on offer and initilly found it too light in comparison to my very old, very heavy iron. However, I soon became used to it and found it quite easy to use. Unfortunately it developed a leak after a couple of months but the replacement has been working well for the last four months.
