Oranges are not the Only Fruit..
Review of Kenwood JE 270 by
helencbradshaw
Advantages: Yield of Juice over manual juicer Ease of Use, Easy to Store, East to Clean, Price
Disadvantages: None
...citrus fruit. The Kenwood JE270 is a citrus juice extractor that does what is asked of it, and comes in at an affordable price. You can actually pay £10s- £100s for a citrus juice extractor, which would seem like overkill for anyone other than a commercial outlet. In fact the Kenwood JE270 retails for around £15 from the electrical retailers and you may find it slightly cheaper on line. Assembling the extractor is simplicity itself. The base unit ... ...shaped jug slips over the central plastic spike. There is a silver tray to catch the pulp, and finally the domed citrus squeezer shape on the top. There is no on/off switch with this type of appliance, instead the extractor is activated by pressure - when you push the orange half down on the squeezer, the appliance spins around gently and extracts the juice. There are two main advantages to using this citrus extractor instead of a traditional lemon ...

Juicer expired after only 7 months
Review of Kenwood JE570 by
Rene123
Advantages: Very easy to use. Two speed settings. Safety lock
Disadvantages: Difficult to dissemble and clean. Broke down after 7months.
...went out and bought this Kenwood juice extractor. I paid about £25 for it at Argos, which I though was a bargain at the time considering that it was selling for up to £35 elsewhere. They no longer sell it now.
I used it about three times a week for the first month, then twice a week for the second month and then once in a while afterwards, you get the picture:)
Pros:
It is very easy to use, with two speed settings, one for soft fruit and the other ... ...filter which means that the fruit juice comes out nice and smooth with no bits in it. It has a seperator, so you get your fruit juice in one container and the pulp in another container.
Comes with a nice clear plastic jug and lid that you can use to store juice in the fridge.
Cons:
Where shall I start?
- Difficult to dissemble for cleaning. You have to practically pull it apart while your partner holds the appliance down. Kiss goodbye to your ...

Loud, but does it's job
Review of Kenwood JE 356 by
FrancescaTimbers
Advantages: Small, cheap and handy
Disadvantages: Slightly louder than some other models
This juicer was easy to clean and flies through anything I put through it. Takes up very little space in your kitchen. With its simple stylish design and clean lines, this definitely met my appearance standards. Its assembly was extremely quick (a few seconds) and straightforward. A plastic spatula is included which is designed to fit snugly into the pulp basket to remove the bulk of the pulp. The Lid of the juicer is clear plastic which enables ... ...juice outlet spout is at a reasonable level for fitting a cup under; it would be nice if you could fit a full jug underneath though. Also comes with a citrus press attachment that can be used to juice citrus fruits without having to first peel them.
The pulp basket has aluminium mesh sides and sits on a shaft that spins thus giving the basket its centrifugal action. Though extremely loud and noisy, it does it's job!
When the pulp basket gets full ...

An ideal first timers juicer
Review of Kenwood JE560 by
scarymonkey
Advantages: Efficient
Disadvantages: Noisy and juicing can be messy
...glad I did.
The Kenwood JE560 looks unusual as most juicers appear to be fully contained with the pulp store site above the juice store. In the JE560 the pulp is stored around the cutting mesh and the juice fed out to a serperate jug.
I started off by juicing some apples and grapes. The apple left a fairly dry pulp and produced a reasonable amount of juice. The grapes on the other hand produced a wet pulp and a huge amount of juice. Since then ... ...to the spec published here, the JE560 comes with a 300watt motor. The bigger the motor the better the juicer will tend to work.
As a first juicer I recommend the Kenwood JE560, but would also recommend a dedicated citrus juicer to get the most out of this fruit. ...

Kenwood smoothie bar
Review of Kenwood JE 770 Smoothie Juice BAR by
happy13
Advantages: Spacesaving...urm...
Disadvantages: Impossile to clean, juice leaks through machine onto work, top tap clogs
Very dissapointed in this machine, I chose an all in one smoothie, juicer and citrus juicer as I knew I would be using it a lot. Starting with the smoothie maker/blender. Unless you add a lt of liquid the fruit sticks to the sides and will not blend, the great pokey thing they supply with it does not reach the sides, I know it has to keep away from the blades but it is that high it is useless. the tap then glogs with thick smothies or unblended fruit. ... ...to clean the tap and fruit juice gets stuck in the tap, even soaking, running water through it will not get rid of it, it is just about possible to clean the plug hole but is not easy.
The Juicer, Firstly you have to cut the fruit fairly small to get it in, then the juice stays inside the machine and slowly trickles down the spout and when you have drunk your measly half a glass full you struggle to remove the blades and collector for cleaning when ...
