A brilliant desktop TFT monitor.
Review of HP L1906 by andycharger

Advantages: Great performance, resolution capabilities, looks
Disadvantages: lack of speakers, no DVI or S Video connectivity

...work we are a major HP user nowadays. Mainly because of the reliability and quality of the products. Hey, im the IT manager so the better quality products we buy, the less maintenance and replacing we need to do! That why when my developers were asking for more screen resolution to maximise their working space, we needed 19 inch monitors that could not only give a bigger picture but also offer larger resolutions than the industry standard 1024 x ...
...x 1024 Resolution which the HP L1906 copes with admirably. Without any problems from refresh rates or screen temperatures, this screen delivers exactly the right size desktop for our needs. Talking of refresh rates and response times, it is fantastic at reproducing lightning quick action sequences so again makes it a natural choice when choosing a screen for playing games on. Its a bright and functional screen with vivid colours and able to produce ... Read review

HP w2207 A great monitor
Review of HP W2207 by Kingmark1894

Advantages: Great Picture quality
Disadvantages: Software is poor

When i first got the monitor i was blown away by the screen quality. The glossy finish made all the colours stand on edge. Also you could turn the screen 90 degrees so that it is in portrait mode. This is great for things like Microsoft word and viewing pictures. There are two USB ports on the side which is useful for things like usb sticks and webcams. The only thing i can complain about is the software provided. It does not seem to work so i just ...
...is not essential and there are many 3rd party softwares which can do the same job. Overall this is an excellent screen and well worth the money. However if you were looking for a monitor that gives excellent colour accuracy i would not buy this because some of the colours are adjusted by the glossy finish ... Read review

Samsung SyncMaster 740N
Review of Samsung SyncMaster 740N by Ajish

Advantages: Stylish design,Needs less space,High quality image, low power consumption,Relatively inexpensive
Disadvantages: The only disadvantage is that it looks dim when looking from the end side.

I bought samsung syncmaster one year ago and from my point of view this 17"monitor is really good. And the most unique feature is that its sleek and smooth designing tempts anyone. It requires minimum space. It even supports fast moving games and also movies very well.It is relatively inexpensive compared to other LCD monitors. It does not produce too much radiation and hence less eye strain. The wide viewing angle(160 degree) of this monitor really works ... Acer x221w 22" TFT - good because of price
Review of Acer X221W by panther23

Advantages: Price, design,
Disadvantages: for this price not point to be to picky

...mount it on a wall. Acer has an analogue (VGA) signal input. Acer compliant following standards:- ISO 13406-2, TCO '99 Display Resolution as we know is an important issue in monitors, because as higher it is as more specific picture can be, more thinks can be displayed at the same time and so on. This one offers maximum of 1680 x 1050 pixels which is good enough for standard use +. Brightness is 300 cd/m2 and it is a weak point but not crucial. ...
...watch, TV or DVD. Acer offers good quality for reasonable price. It is good but obviously not the best one like other top shelf more expensive monitors. I can recommend it for its price and quality it offers, simplicity, design and size. Please rate my review and leave comment possibly. Thank you. ... Read review

Hah, who needs HDMI?
Review of LG W2452T by markthemillenium123

Advantages: Quality. pure and simple.
Disadvantages: No HDMI, or wall obvious wall mounting options

When I bought this from PC World, I mistook the HDCP badge on the front to mean HDMI, so I was initially disappointed when I got it home. since it has only vga and dvi. Once I switched it on, I was no longer disappointed. using a HDMI to DVI cable (from sainsburys, so not rare) I connected it to my xbox360 and watched a HD-DVD at 1080p. pin sharp and better than my 32". I forgot all about returning it, and remain pleased with it 2 months later. ...
...back. I think it can be done, but not using my current wall mount. Games look great. and as a PC monitor, it is, well, beautiful. as well as the huge 1920 resolution, it has a pin sharp display, with text easily readable at default font sizes. It is quite thick compared to my 22" monitor, probably around 4" at the widest point, but it still looks very good, with a shiny black finish. I was considering a cheaper 24" make than this, but they couldnt ... Read review
