I beleive this is a reasonably priced laptop; as the saying goes 'you get what you pay for'. I think the advantages for this laptop are the DVD RW and 80Gb Hard Drive and the disadvantsges this the very low battery life at only 1.5 hours. The battery life for me is not a problem as i rarely use it on the go. For me, the main point of having a laptop is because it is portable. I bought my Acer because I'm an F1 fan, and they sponsor Ferrari. I guess I was conned by the marketing man! I recuperated one of these here in France as "broken", after carefull inspection it seems the 512MB RAM module has had it and prevents the laptop of working properly.
