HP 530 - Core Duo T2050 1.6 GHz - 15.4" TFT
Review of HP 530 - Core Duo T2050 1.6 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
richooooo
Advantages: Cheap,Fast,Sleek
Disadvantages: Size,Ram,Lid Scratches Easily
...The main things th HP have done wrong is they have only put 512 DDR2 in to this laptop and i think that this is not enough for windows vista to run smoothly, would be ok for Windows Xp .After a few days i upgraded the memory of the laptop to 2gb ddr2 this is very easy and was cheap only £30. After i did this the laptop was perfect. The touch pad is made from the same plastic the case and i think it is very good. The Graphics are Intel GMA 950 with ... ...it also failed using the HP Backup Software,Worked perfect when tryiing to copy music disk. The Lid on my laptop has got 2 scratches after only 2 month of using. One more problem i have found with this laptop is that the power cable is in the wrong place always seems to be in the way.
i would reccomend getting this laptop if you are on a tight budget and if you are not botherd about the size of the laptop(would reccomend Ram Upgrade). ...

HP Compaq nx7300 - Good for business
Review of HP Compaq Business Notebook nx7300 - Core 2 Duo T5500 1.66 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
ThePsychicBuzzard
Advantages: Great overall build quality, great screen, it's fast enough for you old man
Disadvantages: Not much memory, dull looks aren't going to wow the ladies (never stopped me!)
I've recently been able to test this laptop as my stepdad has received one through his work. It's the first time I have seen an HP/Compaq laptop, but I've used many other brands so I'll be mainly using them as a comparison.
At first glance, the laptop has a very ordinary design, but when you pick it up you quickly appreciate the build quality. It is quite light, and yet very sturdy, and feels like it could happily take a few knocks ( lucky as my ... ...the keyboard, it feels great to type on and there is no "give" like my own current laptop ( an Acer Ferrari ). The touchpad feels ok but I've never been a big fan of these, so I think I'd stick to my trusty mouse.
One thing I was really impressed with is the screen. Although the resolution isn't great for the 15.4" screen, the brightness was amazing. I was able to use it outside in a field on a bright sunny day wihout hassle. Also while in this ...

BUDGET BASIC
Review of HP 530 - Celeron M 440 1.86 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
ryanmorgan001
Advantages: High Quality High Value
Disadvantages: Poor Battery
...is my review on the HP 530
Well this is power value and for just about £300 DESIGN
BASIC BASIC BASIC is the words but the build quality is high and it looks like a rather expensive machine and it was very popular at recent months. Especially to thoose in university and thoose that need a basic cheap laptop.
PERFORMANCE
Its not slow but it wont win awards. In fact it was quite nippy dispite the poor and outdated Intel Celeron Chip and the meager ... ...anytime soon but Microsoft Office will run and so will other less demmanding programs. Even some older games will run but you wont be through the roof with the frame rates either. The saying " you gets what you pay for" springs to mind. Not bad and great value for the price point.
SCREEN
The screen is good and you cant fault it for the price. Its pretty good, for thoose who are wondering its 15.4 inches which is about right. Its rather clear and ...

NC 6320
Review of HP Compaq Business Notebook nc6320 - Core Duo T2500 2 GHz - 15" TFT by
steveyork2008
Advantages: fast, durable
Disadvantages: not the lightest ever built,
...writing this review on a HP nc6320 laptop and it is possibly one of the best buys I have made. Its quick, portable, full of power and the battery life lasts for ages. I am currently using it with Windows XP Pro but would probably recommend vista as this laptop easily has the capacity to run it. Due to my interest in the computer world i was looking into upgrading the laptop as the 1GB RAM I thought would need improving after a while. For less than ...

Cheep and cheerful
Review of HP 510 - Celeron M 360 1.4 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
Dazzlin_uk
Advantages: Cheep laptop, resonable quality
Disadvantages: Spend a little more, get a faster laptop
I have been using this laptop for a couple of months and I think, for the money, this is an exceptional piece of equipment. My couple of gripes are long charging time, the right mouse button feels loose, it now takes a very long time to boot up (it was fine new and I have not added much software) and a very limiting hard drive. Also, this unit comes with 512mb ram but can only be upgraded to a max 1gb and uses special ram chips that need to be ordered ...
