Advantages: Compact, value for money
Disadvantages: no USB ports for mouse etc!

Had never heard of the Acer brand before but as the laptop was on special offer in shop and appeared to be a bargain, we gritted our teeth and went ahead. Over the first few weeks after purchase we realised that the laptop has no USB ports or ports for mouse etc so you have to use the touch pad, like it or not. However for a basic, home use laptop for the average user it does what it needs to do! Would not recommend this model for any business use ... Read review

I've had my Acer Aspire for about a year now, and desperately need to upgrade. Although I have gotten a lot of use from this computer, I have also had a lot of problems with it. The main problems I have had involve the lack of available memory, and that it crashes too often. This little notebook is an absolute gem for people on the go. It is small, lightweight and its simple design makes it one of the more attractive notebooks out there! Disadvantages: Expensive, unreliable, poor customer service

My daughter bought her Acer Laptop just over 2 ½ years ago, hoping that it would last her for the duration of her degree. At just under £800 it was not cheap! During the 2 years warranty the floppy drive stopped working and was a hassle to get it repaired and returned by Acer, due to them waiting for parts. Just outside of the guarantee it broke down again. I contacted Acer by email and these were not even acknowledged, despite sending several reminders ...
...tried to get support from Acer and also had problems making contact (e.g. kept waiting in automated queues and being cut off just before they were supposed to be next!). They informed that the problem was that Acer only has one person working in the Spares Department, because the other one left. I confirmed this myself later. This service company also sells computer hardware and they stopped supplying Acer, because of reliability and support issues. ... Read review

How do Dell keep doing this, another amazing laptop for people like me to enjoy. This laptop can have an immensive amount of RAM and Hard Drive put in to it and you can also change colour and pattern to severel differant ones.
