Advantages: easy, reliable and fun!
Disadvantages: some PC apps wont work on this!
...so many manufacturers! the apple G4 has a large screen , thin and lightweight. the good thing about it as well is the speed, power and memory on this is very powerful. disadvantage is many PC softwares are not available for mac and always are released later on. mac is more on a professional basis but i feel has enough games and software and programmes to suit everyone. ...

Probably the best small Laptop around
Review of Apple PowerBook G4 - PPC G4 867 MHz - 12.1" TFT by
pmyria
Advantages: Size, features, design
Disadvantages: Gets hot when intensive, low RAM
I've had my 12" Powerbook for about a year and a half now and I have to say it's probably one of the best purchases I've made. It's compact, full featured (DVD/CD-Rw, good graphics, full conectivity) and very light at around 2.1kg. I often throw it in my backpack happily and take it anywhere.
Also, the software is great. A lot is said of the differences between Windows and Mac OSX (it's operating system) but unless you're a full on gamer, the Mac ... ...also comes with ilife which combines a photo album, a movie maker, itunes (for use with an ipod) and Garageband, a modern recording studio for budding musicians.
This is everything you need in a laptop. Unless you're a hardcore gamer (and why would you buy a laptop for that?) this will do everything you want and somethings you didn't know you wanted to do! ...

Super Book To THE RESCUE
Review of Apple PowerBook G4 - PPC G4 667 MHz - 15.2" TFT by

Advantages: versatility, looks, speed
Disadvantages: software/hardware upgradability
...next best thing to an apple powerbook G4).
There are some extreme features such as light sensitive monitor and keyboard, which is really a novelty, but it does help, the luminosity of the keyboard and monitor adjust to "how much ambient light is available in the room", but like some features of a poorly built Acer computer this fails to amaze me and causes much a stir with the involvement of having to keep turning the brightness up.
It has amazing ... ...which offers outstanding performance with DVD's and whatever games you can purchase for a Mac.
Sound wise, I am appalled, it has a faint echo after a couple weeks of usage, and only offering up to 4.1 sound I was gob smacked, (that was the maximum I could reach with my creative speakers, which went up to 7.1).
Finally we come to the extras, the ways for it to show off. The unit comes with 1 2.0 USB port and 1 Fire wire, which offers support for ...

HP DV6599 Special Edition - Good All Rounder
Review of HP Pavilion Media Center dv6599ea Special Edition Entertainment - Core 2 Duo T7300 2 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
marcus997
Advantages: Features, size and design
Disadvantages: Not good enough for gaming
...me. As a fan of HP products, I chose from the DV6500 range available at the time. This laptop had every spec I required for both using as a station for university assignments, as well as home use for music, film and gaming.
Firstly, the design is eye-catching. I was bored of looking at the generic black or grey and thought the white anti-scratch surface was ideal. The laptop is also quite light and the absense of a locking clip meant there was less ... ...more than my money's worth! HP also frequently offer discounts so it's always worth checking to see what deals are to be had.
As well as the remote control that is stored away when not in use, another of my favourite features is the fingerprint reader. When you use the internet on a frequent basis, remembering usernames and passwords can be frustrating. For anyone who hops from website to website, I'd highly recommend this feature.
Thankfully I ...
